I said there have been plenty of misses and I don’t disagree. I am not one to post all day through the games but I posted a few. Just saying enjoy the big win and tomorrow we can move on.

Crazy! I was a freshman at UND and playing in the band. We actually moved over to the NDSU side and were sitting with their band during OT when we won. What an experience as an 18 year old kid.

I remember that same play a few years ago, but it was at mid field. A pitch from Q to Skokna for big yardage.

 

Also, the USD game just got bigger. That will be fun!

I guess we just disagree on where the special teams coach makes a difference.  

I was place kicker for UND for 3 years.  The special teams coach had zero impact on whether or not I made a fg/pat other than choosing the holder and snapper - which was critical.  Recruiting didn't factor in either as I was a walk on and beat out 3 different recruited kickers win and keep the job. 

Where they do affect the game is with designing and teaching schemes for protecting for kicks and punts, kick and punt coverage, kick and punt returns and punt block.   Today we had game changing plays with a kick return and punt block.  We also covered kicks and punts well so the special teams coach had a great day.

They were not asking that question.  They kept looking for ways to win.  They coached up the players to believe.  The Bison are in trouble.  SDSU will destroy them.

I was surprised just how easily UND was able to run the ball. And it was obvious there was two key plays that lead to the win and thr blowout.

1) kickoff TD.

2) second half interception return.

Big win for the program.

Makes a person wonder if NDSU would have had their current run if they had to play UND more in the Alerus during it....add another L to their loss column every other year...which likely means no home field for them throughout the playoffs....

KVLY (NBC) mentioned it and was recording it.

Probably an app available on a phone.

Sounded like the Bison were worried about noise level even before the game.

We often forget it's their (students) football team.
