sioux rube Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 This is not the same QU team that played Harvard. They would have a fighting chance against the goofs if they play like they are tonight. But if the goofs play like they did tonight then no dice. That game could have easily been 10-2. With that said I hate to say it but it’s the rodents year. Prove me wrong please Quote
brianvf Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 QU takes down one uber-talented B10 team in a methodical manner. Can they do it again on Saturday? 1 Quote
Dustin Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Once again, senior defenseman > freshman phenoms. Congrats Q. 1 Quote
Kevin G Posted April 7, 2023 Author Posted April 7, 2023 There is your dagger. NO DOUBLE DIGIT NATTIES THIS YEAR (for 25 years running). Quote

I really really really hope so but Minnesota has been so frickin good. Should be a good game if QU plays like they did tonight against the Gophers. Michigan is gonna be right back in it next season. If Fantilli decides to stay, he’s gonna be even better. Quote
farce poobah Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 For all the talk about parity in college hockey, the final game is #1 vs #2. #2 Q has a shot, but they need to get the first goal. Can't play from behind against Minnesota. But they are good with a lead. Quote

Kevin G Posted April 7, 2023 Author Posted April 7, 2023 I could see QU frustrating Minny like they did Mich: defensive structure, great goaltending, opportunistic offense. Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 If the Gophers win, I'll take solace in Rand losing the championship game in Tampa again. Quote

I'd guess that Fantilli is a one and done. Michigan is so young though, so they'll be really good again next season. They only have five SR/GR on their roster, and none in the top 10 team scoring. They'll lose a couple of their skilled SO/JR to the NHL though. Quote
Wilbur Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 The Gophers don't play a lot of teams like the Q. They played Mankato earlier this year and on the NHL sheet they struggled a bit. The Gophs more talented, but if the Bobcats put together another performance like tonight and they've got a chance. 1 Quote

MafiaMan Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Welp, I guess we have to cheer for the Q on Saturday night. Quote
Dustin Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 I have no trouble cheering for Q. They’ve built a contender. 3rd time the charm? Quote

brianvf Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 The "cheaters". I hope QU wins and the MN fans cry themselves to sleep. This was the same argument they had last year when Mankato beat them. 1 Quote
