cowboys5xsbs Posted February 19, 2023 Author Posted February 19, 2023 Tough tie but we need the extra point Quote
cowboys5xsbs Posted February 19, 2023 Author Posted February 19, 2023 Felt like we outplayed them and don't get the extra point Quote
neoflex Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Dang if it was going to come down to goal tending, we had a slim chance Quote

tnt Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 I assume home ice is now out of the question since St. Cloud has a better head to head record. Of course Miami would give up a late lead against Omaha. Quote
burd Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 I think these guys showed they are capable of winning the conf. tourney. That includes goaltending. Not likely, but a fighting chance. 1 Quote
Username Taken Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Played well enough for a sweep. St. Cloud fortunate to walk away with any points tonight let alone the majority of them. Quote

cowboys5xsbs Posted February 19, 2023 Author Posted February 19, 2023 On the bright side no 5 minute major for UND tonight improvements Quote
tnt Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Another reason that a bigger goalie is preferred, as Castor covered pipe to pipe on that Gaber shootout shot. Quote
Popular Post Oldguy Posted February 19, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 19, 2023 This game would have been no big deal if UND had not pissed away the first 2/3 of the season. Outshot a good opponent by more than two-to-one, had three posts, got one of three points and a tie in the NCAA pairwise. Only problem is, they DID piss away the first 2/3 of the season, so this is now another nail in the coffin. 6 Quote

tnt Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 It’s very possible that the opening round playoff series for both UND and Duluth will be the same matchup they have during the last regular season games. UND against Omaha and St. Cloud against Duluth. Quote

brianvf Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 31-13 final SOG? Geez, needed that win. Kunz was very noticeable tonight. Winning battles, getting chances, got the goal... 2 Quote

Not likely, but a fighting chance. Yes, agreed. This team has shown that they are capable of playing with, and beating, any top team they've faced (except Denver). Teams that have steamrolled their competition this season like QU and MN (current #1 & #2 in PWR)...UND has beaten both (yeah, yeah..QU in shootout, whatever). Unfortunately, their huge lapses of bad games and bad losses means that even if they put together a run, it's going to be a very difficult path. -NCHC playoffs...they'll be on the road. You know it'll go 3 games. Hopefully UND can prevail. -IF they do...they'll get DU for the 1st game of the NCHC tourney with their season on the line. They'd have to get that elusive first win over them and still try to beat SCSU/WMU the next game to make it to the NCAA tourney. -IF they do that, their reward will be playing in Fargo with a home crowd...with their opponent very likely being top ranked UMN. Ouch ouch ouch. Quote

I'm guessing math and tie-breakers will be involved. We won't play DU first round, but we could be traveling to any of those teams currently in 2-4...crossing my fingers for Omaha. Quote
