Well, here's something to get through the next 100 days.

We need to take those rankings with a few grains of salt since they are preliminary and based primarily on last years results but we are playing 6 ranked teams plus Nebraska.   Bubba and the boys will have their work cut out for them and need to meet the challenge.   Another factor is we play the number 1 and 2 teams in FCS.   Bring it on.

It's going to be funny when a crappy team buys their players and becomes relevant.

UND should absolutely be securing commitments from local business to pay key players in key recruiting battles.  Just start at $10,000 to $20,000 range and see what happens.  We have a few years to capitalize and gain an advantage.  Once everyone is doing this we'll just be playing catch-up with no competitive advantage.

Start with the hogs on both side control the line.

The problem is that there are only so many local businesses that could give in a small community, so the larger cities are going to be the ones that prosper from this.

Fascinating time in college football. We will be lucky if the $ doesn’t destroy the game we love at the collegiate level.

NIL and transfer porter,  we are only missing a draft and trading.

This is the Grand Forks loser mentality in a nut shell.

She looks like a good recruit, wide shoulders.   Is she stuck in the portal?

I was thinking she's more like an ag school cheerleader

Yup: "What can't we do" instead of focusing on "what can we do."

Coming from someone who is always complaining that more money is needed to compete.  Nothing preventing people from donating.

Would UND Donors rather give $100,000 and be a small contributor to Phase II or pay 5 top recruits $20,000/each to see if we can win a National Title in the next few years?

At FCS level, the $20K scenario is a waste.  The "sure things" don't end up in FCS.

I don't know about that.  Jeremy Chinn was an all FCS offer type of guy wasn't he?  That was pretty painful to lose him as a commit when he followed Marty back to So. Ill.

I don't know. I suppose we will find out if they will do either.

Are you guys so desperate that you want to buy players?

Have you asked the same questions of the businesses in Fargo who have paid NIL money to NDSU football players?
I'd be curious, under current rules, how it is it any different than scholarships or full cost of attendance?
How is it any different than dumping 10's of millions into facilities to entice players to a University?

Every single one of those is money being spent to "buy" players.
