The Sicatoka Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 If I were a bettin' man, ... Adidas is done with NHL jerseys after 2023-24. (New NHL vendor for 2024-25.) Last time the NHL changed suppliers one year later UND changed to the same supplier. I'd guess UND goes to the new NHL vendor in about 2025-26. https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/adidas-inks-seven-year-university-of-north-dakota-deal/ Quote

Although, DU has New Balance, which is just a very random hockey supplier. One I would’ve never guessed. The team gear makes sense. But jerseys is just different. AHL still uses CCM, but UND moved to adidas from CCM. Time will tell. Quote

I don't doubt that it sells "poorly" compared to the old Fighting Sioux but according to a "white shirt" that I know who works there, they move a decent amount of product. I mean they have to order minimums and if they don't sell you would see that stuff on the clearance rack and whenever I go into Scheels, it doesn't seem like there is a lot on the clearance rack. One holdover Reebok from the Brien days... wonder how many they have left squirreled away to spice up the auctions. Those things used to bring in a ton of money. Really tailed off for revenues and sale prices.... There should be a lot more to hit the auctions as now that Adidas has ceased making hockey sweaters... id imagine a slight redesign will be due for next season. I wonder what company won the contract for UND? Someone will likely over pay for that jersey in the auction for what it is. It’s ultimately no different than one that could’ve been bought at the SiouxShop, but customized nicely. Obviously they’re impossible to find for sale. I’m curious how high it will go. I also would love to see the room where all the auction ready jerseys are. Would be fun to view them all. Quote

However, it could be a different company who makes the jersey but Denver might have a deal with NB so they put their name/logo on them. Quote

Instead of down the leg and across the chest it should also be on the white piece on the mask top bar (says Riddell on Tommy's helmet) and on the back of the helmet neck protect pad too. Wait, they have that last one. The logo as a shoulder patch would be a nice touch. Quote

Not saying they didn't use them at one time, but I don't recall them being a huge part of the uniforms, especially in the last decade or so of the nickname. Quote

POST. Despite a potential sale, Adidas will be "keeping the CCM apparel license, not transferring it to the new CCM owner." A source said that starting with the '17-18 season, Adidas will "get rid of the CCM name on NHL apparel, replacing it with Adidas." However, the source added that CCM will "still be seen on NHL helmets and sticks." Kosman notes presently, CCM is the "official licensee for the NHL throwback jerseys, and many team sweatshirts and T-shirts" (N.Y. POST, 3/16). Quote
The Sicatoka Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Quote The company (CCM) is currently owned by Canadian private "Birch Hill Equity Partners", after the Adidas Group sold the brand for around $100 million in 2017. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCM_(ice_hockey) Today Adidas and CCM are separate organizations.
