I was hoping that Matt Vernon would have committed to UND after he visited.

UND should be in pretty good shape between the pipes with Scheel and Cam Rowe coming in. What’s the word on Matt Vernon? Was he highly recruited?

Is he former NHL goalie Mike Vernon’s son?

I thought they both came to St. Cloud at the same time.

What the heck is 'a degree in international political economy".
Sounds like a degree where you'd better be able to play goalie in the ECHL.

It’s a combination of political science, International Relations and economics. CC doesn’t have business majors unless you count economics, so it’s likely pretty similar to UND’s Public Administration major, which is a combination of political science and business management.

Sounds more employable than recreation studies

Any predictions for early departures for the NCHC teams still left playing? There are a lot of high end Sophomore D-man that are possibilities, Mitchell with Denver and Duluth has three that I could see.

I'm surprised he was there three years.  I thought after last season he would have signed somewhere.  Got his degree, great for him.

That's so dependent on results.  I think if either of them win, they'll lose a ton more players.

That’s not necessarily true - DU returned a ton of underclassmen from their 2017 title team and were the favorites to repeat last season.

And they didn't make it out of the regional. :) Oh well. That's the breaks.

Was it the Ryan Poehling from St. Cloud that got a hat trick plus the final shootout goal in the Montreal game last night in his first NHL game?

Yes

Um, Goon, two things about your article (that you linked to):

1. When you quote a Biblical verse, like from Proverbs, you quote it with chapter and verse or verses, for example Proverbs 3:13-15
2. I suspect you won't find the quote you claim is from "Proverbs" in the Book of Proverbs. ;)  *

* I defer to our resident Biblical expert @SiouxVolley on subject.

Ha, he's too busy trying to convince people that UND is going FBS Football.

So Makar signs with Avs for playoff series.  How does that work? Don't you have to set your rosters ahead of time like other sports?   If not can you sign anyone who is available?
