SiouxFan100 Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Looking for some bright spot. Football has one more game. Volleyball has one more game. Men’s bb might be ok . Women’s bb is better than I thought. Hockey is up and down. sigh Quote
Oxbow6 Posted November 17 Posted November 17 In the category of things that just stay the same....this weekend I watched the FB team get beat down at home in a must win game (the score wasn't nearly indicative of the play on the field) and miss the playoffs. I watched the hockey team look totally out matched only to play much better the next night and still get swept at home. I had an Everything grinder and Schneider tacos to easy the pain of the outcomes and the Moon buffet never disappoints (RIP Grandpa Ken as my girls called him when they were young). Wash...rinse...repeat. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted November 17 Posted November 17 The state of play of the game has passed by our coach. And I see no sign or will to adapt. Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I think that may apply to more then one coach Quote
The Sicatoka Posted November 17 Posted November 17 The conference-mate has a mid-30s national champion head coach that could be the son of our head coach. @SIOUXELEVENS, you may repeat your prior statement here. Quote

AJS Posted November 18 Posted November 18 What's the most frustrating part is all the heavy lifting is done. Elite campus and facilities. They have done such an incredible job in so many areas (including Alston, FCOA, although not directly tied to the University, 1883 collective). Great alumni / fan support. There is no reason all sports shouldn't be thriving. Instead, they are either the joke of the Dakota's (i.e. Football) or incredibly mediocre for the $ spent (i.e. hockey). All falls on Coaching. When you lay it all out, it's so sad. They'll continue to be mediocre until they invest in coaching salaries or in hockey's case, dump Berry. 1 2 Quote

I remember everyone giving me the shoe about complaining about our dismal records i finally like to see some of us don’t like below mediocrity and not accept it 2 Quote

Last 4 complete seasons on the women’s side of the house in soccer, softball, and volleyball in conference play only these teams have a combined winning percentage of just 27%. OUCH! The current state of football and hockey not good. Yoy. 6 Quote
