bull$%!#, there’s no way that ref saw the puck the entire time from his angle. But whatever. Guess you can just make assumptions.

Thome was laying on the puck, clearly under him, UMD guy pulls up his arm with a stick to get the puck loose. At what point is the ref supposed to blow the whistle?

Absolutely wrong. He pushed the net off because he lost the blocker. He was waving his bare hand to get the officials attention before he did it. Are you watching man?

No it’s not, but I’ve seen Wisconsin’s goal throw his glove to get a whistle when the puck was in the other end a few years ago.

I thought it was an automatic whistle if the goalie loses a glove blocker or helmet.

Poolman tried to lay on it.  I could tell it was bouncing around.  Long story short, thome pulled a bone head move.

The ref is supposed to blow the whistle if he loses sight of the puck. This is Todd Anderson, so logic, and good officating doesn't translate to him.
