Do not sell yourself short on this one.  Hours before a make or break season on the line game our guys were focused on you.  Hands down you are the first star.

Man, I bitch and moan as much as anyone about UND's play this year.  Yet, in retrospect, they go into Neb-Omaha to play a powerful HOME team.  If you throw out the Mavs 2 ENGs last night we outscore them 6 - 4 on the wknd and play just  a few bad minutes on their power plays last night giving up 3 (?) goals and that's it.  Kind of like at home vs Den, we don't win a game and blow a 2 goal lead (damn!) but don't lose a game either against a top 2 or 3 ranked team.  Will drive me to drink (i.e. keep drinking...).

Cam Johnson was absolutely outstanding tonight. Kind of a ugly game at times the puck seemed to be bouncing all over the place. Thought the guys did a much better job in the neutral zone both offensively and defensively. Forced Omaha to dump it in a lot more and they aren't a team that really thrives playing that way. Had to have this one tonight and got it. Have to have both at Miami next weekend too no excuses.

Glad I was wrong that if they lost on Friday I could see them getting swept, but man let’s get that Friday win for a change and then keep on rolling.

Has any team ever split most series & tied 8 games & went on to win the national title ?

Not unless they played in a real tough conference like we do, the NCHC.  I keep wondering how in the hell are we at where we are in the Pairwise then I realize just about every week we're playing someone in the top 15 and, although not sweeping or dominating anybody (save for W Mich), we're at least usually in their trading punches for the most part (throw out the Duluth and St Clown series on the road).

A game like tonight sheds light on the same things we spoke of the past weeks..inconsistent levels of effort and focus.

Very good tonight, some every stupid penalties.

2 @ Miami.    - Split

2 St, cloud.     - Loss & tie

3 First Round

2? NCHC ?????

between 6 and 9 games left...lots can happen in pairwise..
