brianvf Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 According to CHN pairwise probability matrix, UND's chances to make it into the tourney jumped from 26 to 44% after tonight's win. Still only at #14 though, so not safe if there are a few upsets in the conference tourneys. Keep the pressure on tomorrow! Quote
franchise Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Got some stuff going on and can't keep tabs on the other games. What didn't go well for us last night? Harvard and Clarkson loss? Quote

Harvard and Clarkson loss? Harvard doesn't really matter. Clarkson loss increases chance of another ecac team getting the auto bid, so that's worrisome, hope for them to win the next 2. BC winning is likely the biggest immediate concern. 1 Quote

KoolGuy2K Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Clarkson dropped many positions with last nights loss. If they lose again and we win again, would we jump them? Quote

Not accounting for all the other games, it doesn't look like it. Even with a win tonight, we likely stay at 14. Will need to win a game next weekend. Quote

Nothing has gone easy for this team this year...so we should realistically expect a loss tonight to really leave us on the edge of our seats. Quote

No, but if all top seeds won besides Clarkson and Army, UND would be at .5351 Clarkson .5361, So it would be close, and next week a win would jump them. That isn't taking into effect any sunday results that may adjust QWB 2 Quote
SJHovey Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 We really need Mankato and Clarkson to win tomorrow. I don’t see us climbing above 14, even with a win in St Paul. I wouldn’t bet against BC or BU in Hockey east, so we need the WCHA and ECAC to go chalk. 1 Quote

As long as BU doesn’t win the HEA tourney after that win. Man, UND is gonna be big fans of a few programs tomorrow and next weekend. Going to be real tight unless they can put together two wins next weekend... 1 Quote
SJHovey Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Too many teams ahead of us are done, and probably too far ahead to catch with one win. Need Mankato, NE, Providence, Clarkson and Cornell to be good to us. 1 Quote
sioux24/7 Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Random question that me and my buddies are wondering, are our conference banners for winning the regular season or the conference tournament? Pretty sure it’s regular season right? Quote

Stunning to believe that at 19-17-2 and having their regular season end LAST weekend, Minnesota's almost a lock to make the tournament... 1 Quote

Feff Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 So here's a question for those with the better pairwise skills, if UND had won every game in which they had at least a 2 goal lead which they ended up giving up and losing or tying, where would they be in the pairwise now? Quote
