siouxfan512 Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 I'll take this points, especially after them almost scoring. Quote
Feff Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Just brutal 3rd down... ugh. UNC player shoved the center over Bartles after he was down and Bartles trying to call timeout. Either the refs aren't blowing the whistle or that should have been a late hit. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 that was a huge 3 points to end the half, massive swing in momentum. And we get the ball to start the 2nd half. Lets go. 1 Quote
LkvlleUNDFan Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Whew. That Taubs FG looked wide left on the webcast. 13-7 Hawks. Quote
Dagger Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 It just doesn't seem like we are the same team when Keaton is not out there. 1 Quote
cowboys5xsbs Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Fg good 13-7 Meh at least we have the lead Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Well, as promised, the UND offense is ugly. Fortunately the UND defense is doing what is necessary for UND to win the game. UND needs to get back to the basics (Blocking and taking care of the ball) on offense and keep it up on defense. 1 half away from win #8 ... Go UND Fighting Hawks! Quote
Feff Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 We really need a quality backup QB. If the coaches think Bartles gives us the best chance to win this game, I'm not sure what that says about Heidlebaugh. Hopefully he has a fantastic off-season and some of our young recruits come in and exceed expectations, but I do not feel comfortable about our QB play without Studsrud. 2 Quote
Rock Chalk Fighting Hawk Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Bring in the rugby rifle. Makes the qb runs a bit more effective compared to when barrels is running them Quote

Bubba and his staff really need to address this QB position in the offseason. The kid from Edina is not enough ... add another one please !!! Quote
bincitysioux Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Former President Kelley is in the house. Anybody want me to give him a message? Or maybe a bill for the hole he put the university in? 3 Quote
Nodak78 Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Charleston lost today big for the hawks 2 Quote
Cratter Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Bartles didn't play that bad. Qbs throw interceptions all the time in football. He's the backup. He's not expected to be great. He's meeting expectations so far. 2 1 Quote

He's definitely not a great QB but I think he has confidence and experience, and I think he can make a couple timely throws and manage the game to a win today. That is all we need. Quote

Rudolph needs to put some of those throws at favorable times for Bartles. Don't wait for 3rd and 10 before throwing. Don't do a straight drop back. Use your play action, use your bootleg, and for gods' sake, use your tight ends! 2 Quote
