They also have a 12 seed while starting all underclass women. We are likely a year or two from making the same type of run we made in 2009. The year our Women were ranked 15th in the AP and almost took down Baylor in the second round, in Texas when they had Griener. But hey, I'm sure their success is also due to home cooking and a home court advantage. To make it all better for you. NDSU has won 5 national titles in a row in FB. Also, NDSU; as a 12 seed (wonder if they passed the "eye" test) took down Oklahoma in the NCAA tournament. It really has to kill you that the two State schools have had any success. Wow.... my oh my... let's see if we can answer a few questions: 1) What happened 5 years ago that made getting to the NCAA tournament much easier for xDSU? 2) Why is a conference ranked so high - still a one bid league? 3) Did it hurt when SDSU lost to a lowly Weber St team this year? 4) UND women did play the Summit League champ this year it was a good game ultimately USD won 73-70. I don't see a significant difference between USD/SDSU and UND. But, SDSU has been very successful. 5) Does it hurt to pimp your rival school for football? And do you even know what the marker looks like? - it's been a while.

Congrats, the Summit has fewer conference games and has figured out how to use those extra OOC games to manipulate their RPI, which is public knowledge and openly discussed by coaches. You can really tell how much RPI matters when SDSU's is that high and their only chance at making the tournament was to win the Summit Championship game, they had zero chance at getting an at large bid. SDSU had a great season (despite those stinging losses to Weber St of the lowly Big Sky and Summit also-ran UMKC) but the chest pounding over an easily manipulated number is a little silly.
