UML is at 5.  Seems like they would send BU at 7 to Fargo instead.

Do schools from Boston ever get sent west of the Mississippi?

Yes. Last year BU came to St Paul and got destroyed by Denver. Typically bad things happen when eastern teams come west for regionals...

I can't imagine them sending Duluth to Fargo after what just happened.  Call me crazy, but I can't see it.

I was thinking the same thing. And pionk better be in the stands watching.

One of the worst tournament performances of the past 20 years.  Just brutal.  That team totally quit.

Pionk earned a suspension with that play. Doubt he gets it though.

Nope, he won't.  League officials in the building tonight, they could have helped Anderson give him a game DQ on the review.

If he got tossed none of the crap happens afterwards....

In 2012, they also got sent to the X and got destroyed by the Gophers. Needless to say, if they get sent west, I won't be picking them to win in my bracket.

I would rather have a cooling off period too, but the natural bracket fits well this way.   (Works for the other regions too.)

Of course, I wouldn't complain if they sent us Minnesota.   #freshmeat

If you go by straight seeding

Cincinnati
1 Denver vs. 16 Michigan Tech
8 Union vs 9 Penn State

Fargo
2 Duluth vs 15 Ohio State
7 Boston vs 10 Sioux

Providence
3 Harvard vs 14 Providence
6 Western Michigan vs 11 Cornell

Manchester
4 Minnesota vs 13 Notre Dame
5 Lowell vs 12 Air Force

Heard Union is heading west, would prefer them over BU

Union makes more sense that UML.

So no inter-conference? That's too easy so there needs to be changes due to attendance at the 'neutral sites'

I expect this.
It's simple, clean, and no first round conference conflicts.

The NCAA LOVED seeing Minnesota face off against UND less than a week after the Final Five.  Remember the 0-3 comeback against the Gophers that was quickly forgotten about a few days later in the rematch?

Looks like West Regional will be

#2 UMD   vs #15 Ohio State

#7 BU vs #10 UND

I welcome this match-up. We'll get to send their precious "diaper dandies" out of college hockey in style with a loss in Fargo!

Western may get the best NCHC draw.

Ugly question:

Given the outcomes of the other conferences now known, would UND have gotten in without at least one win?
