SWSiouxMN Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 So safe to say the Wild are not going to play 56 games this season? They can’t catch a break it seems. Quote
Goon Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 From the athletic: The 11 players currently on the NHL’s COVID-19 unavailable list — Nick Bjugstad, Nick Bonino, Ian Cole, Joel Eriksson Ek, Marcus Foligno, Brad Hunt, Marcus Johansson, Rask, Soucy, Jared Spurgeon and Nico Sturm. That's a lot of players. Looks like the Wild are working towards Herd Immunity. Quote

sioux rube Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 The Wild have a superstar in the making. Kaprizov with his first NHL hat trick as Da Wild shutout the Yotes 4-0. This team is not boring to watch anymore thanks to Kirill the Thrill Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Suter now has one more goal than me over the past 365+ days. Quote

sioux rube Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Wild swept 2 games from Vegas in Vegas and now are 11-2-2 against them all time. That absolutely makes no sense Quote
sioux rube Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Wild 8 Avs 3. Nobody saw that coming. Fiala with the hatty and Kaprizov with a pair. Powerplay is starting to resemble a powerplay. Sounds like Foligno will be back by next week. Need his toughness out there. Next 3 against the Blues who are chasing the Yotes for 4th place and a spot in the playoffs Quote

sioux rube Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Kaprizov registered his 35th point today. One more and he will tie Gáborík's rookie record. Quote
sioux rube Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Wild have won 7 in a row and have clinched a playoff spot. Kaprizov with yet another goal and now has 22 on the year Quote
sioux rube Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 What a crazy game that was. Wild have been down 2 goals going into the third period the last 3 games only to comeback and tie the game up and winning 2 of them. Tonight it was Vegas who had a 5-3 lead only to see Kaprizov win it with a little over a minute left to make it 6-5. Unbelievable Quote

Rebel_Sioux Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Obviously it worked well tonight but I hope to see Parise get back in the lineup. I get that the younger guys have played well down the stretch he's done well the second half too. Quote

It’s not going to be easy to sign other great players with his contact and Suters and Parise’s lingering for another 4 years. Quote

In reading this, I found this line puzzling: These rumors will keep on happening, as they always do, but certainly the charm of winning a Stanley Cup is enough to stay in North America. Minnesota is no where near close to having a team to win a Stanley cup. Looking at Las Vegas or Tampa, they're not close to those team's talent level. Next season, they will be lucky to get out of the first round. Quote

Don’t think the Islanders are the most talented team, but Trotz has them playing where they can beat more talented teams. 1 Quote

What I am saying is, the Wild have a lot of work to do if they’re going to get to the level where they’re a Cup contender. Look what Vegas did to the Avs. You could make the argument they’re not even to the Islanders level. Quote
