Popular Post nodakhoops Posted September 9, 2015 Popular Post Posted September 9, 2015 Looking at the defensive 2 deep right now has to get you excited about not only this year of UND football but also the future. Of the 22 guys on the defensive 2 deep I count only 4 Sr. Those Sr. Are good players but the depth UND is building there is outstanding. lots of young talent beyond the 2 deep and with guys red shirting too. Offensive 2 deep only has 6 Sr. Of the top 22 so we are also young on that side of the ball.this is funny to me because I have seen a lot of Wyoming fans and NDSU fans say that Wyoming is so young and that was a big reason they lost. Well, UND is extremely young as well which makes the a$$ whooping Wyoming got even more impressive.as for the Drake game. This is a game you win if you want to start talking playoffs, simple as that. Fans need to show up and get on board. Come to the parade the tailgate and be loud and proud in the Alerus. 7 Quote

We need to replace that that element or teams start packing the box and safeties get a little too comfortable coming up hard on run. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Maybe Iwarri can move to WR and be the reverse Santiago? I wanted him at wr from the beginning. Quote
siouxstudent Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Anybody see a spread on this? Duno if there is one. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Allow me to summarize this week's game: 1 Quote
ericpnelson Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Personally, I had no idea Caggiula played football. If I was Brad Berry, I wouldn't think it was a good idea to let me face 11 guys, let alone on a playing surface he's not used. I wouldn't risk it with someone who I think could be a Hobey Baker Finalist this year. Some may call it a bold strategy, I call it dumb.P.S. When did he get the nickname "bulldog"? Seems like there would be a more fitting breed for how shifty he is (not trying to suggest he's not tough like a bulldog). Quote
RD17 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Drake has 35 seniors on the roster, including 17 fifth year seniors. What they lack in size and athleticism they will somewhat make up for in experience and cohesiveness. It would be foolish to take them likely. That said, if UND football really has turned the corner this year, then this is a game won by three touchdowns. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I think they will compete with us. I want us to wear them out by half time and blow the doors open in the second half. I know I'll be there and having a good time. Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 UND certainly should not take Drake lightly; however, I'm of the opinion that UND needs to win handily (at least three TDs). If UND wants to compete in Fargo against NDSU and make a run at the playoffs, they have to take care of business at home against a non-scholarship school. 3 Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 A trap game indeed, but I expect them to take care of business against Drake. Lets get to 2-0. Keep the momentum from Wyoming going. Quote

Caggiula is allowed to have himself plus 11* clones of himself on the field at one time. *He's Canadian. Canadian rules. 1 Quote

Canadian rules. I'm assuming he gets the running start then?BTW, did anyone else scrimmage against Canadian schools or schools from different classes in high school? So you'd be 11 man, and then on defense you'd play 9 man, or the Canadian/vice versa option. Edited September 9, 2015 by ericpnelson Quote

Sioux94 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 My gut is telling me that the players are feeling somewhat similar to how we all are, that they loved last week......and are excited to get out on the field and do it, and prove it again. We didn't get too much respect coming into this season, rightfully so, but I think these guys are anxious to get back out there and show what they've got. Also there were enough mistakes for Bubba to impress on them that there still needs to be improvement. Almost two TD's called back due to penalty, penalty to push us back to the 7 yard line and then miss that field goal are a few. Having a long TD called back due to penalty, that is a total momentum killer, fortunately last week were able to overcome it. Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 anyone know what radio station near bemidji, mn might have the drake game on?? Quote
bang Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) anyone know what radio station near bemidji, mn might have the drake game on??You've got to stream it on line. Towards Bagley you can somewhat get it on 96.1. As far as I know that's it. You could try 94.9 but I doubt it will be on there. Edited September 11, 2015 by bang Quote
