OETKB
Shouldn'thave been in this situation. This one's on Zane. Yes, that 3rd goal was shameful. This loss is on Zane.

SiouxScore
Really thought we were pretty sloppy for most of the game but still should have came away with the win if the refs had any clue at all. One of the tougher games Zane has had in a while hopefully he can bounce back next weekend. Don't get the decision to go with LJ in the shootout especially after he had a good chance to win it in OT and couldn't get the puck on his stick. So many horrible calls by the refs including 2 easy missed Siouc goals this weekend but the most obvious decision they missed was to not kick out Moore for the dirty hit. It was an easy call with the puck nowhere no Caggiula and they let him stay in the game and he ends up with 2 goals and a shootout goal as well. The NCHC needs to wake up and fine or suspend these refs that cost us 2 points this weekend. At least come NCAA tourney time we will finally get away from this years horrible NCHC officials. jk
I can't pile on Zane so quickly. He also stopped a lot of shots (35?) during the game. I'm sure he wants that last one back, but things happen and you hope the team picks him up.

siouxnami
Who was the officiating crew this week? Noticed it was not in the NCHC box score.
snova4
Who was the officiating crew this week? Noticed it was not in the NCHC box score. 3 of them were Larry, Moe, and Curly.
runaroundsioux
Their second goal was a softie too. Chip shot from the blue line, no screen.
Blackheart
So what was the official reason they waved off the Sioux's 4th goal?
Hawkster
Sweep next weekend. I can feel it in my bones, here comes the late season surge.
Reformed Gphr Fan
Unbelievably poor reffing tonight. 3 goals (including the s/o) from someone who should have been tossed in the 1st period and a waived off goal that was clearly in?? Thought the NCHC was going to have better refs, but clearly not.
siouxweet
that is by far the most asinine way to determine a "winner". how pathetic will it be if und misses out on winning the penrose because it can't win a frickin or for that matter even score a goal in a shootout? maybe und can petition to get out of a league that has these stupid shootouts. Vegas_Sioux
So what was the official reason they waved off the Sioux's 4th goal? Intent to blow the whistle even though he was standing behind the net when the puck went in.

The shootouts don't bother me as much as the reffing did this weekend. At least you have some control with a shootout.

runaroundsioux
How could there be intent to blow the whistle when the puck was never stopped? The rebound went out to OD, he shot it in the net. The only time the puck stopped was when it was in the net.

If there was intent to blow the whistle, the Ref would not have to look at the replay, as the play would have been deemed to be over...Idiots!
