SIOUX vs. Denver - FRIDAY Gameday

AZSIOUX

Recommended Posts

Tough stretch run ahead, so we need tonight's game.   Western Michigan is really playing well.

Each weekend is tougher because of it, but it's sure nice to be in the toughest conference in the country.   Regardless how the Penrose turns out, the boys will be fire-hardened for the tourney.

Absolutely embarrassing, as a student that was pathetic that another fellow student did that and im glad he was kicked out. He should have his tickets revoked for the remaining time on campus.

He should have to publicly apologize to cosch Montgomery and the entire DU hockey team and to UND.

Couldn't agree more. Embarrassing.

IMO it was the single most disgusting and embarrassing moment at the new Ralph. Can't fix stupid...especially drunk I have zero filter stupid.

Remember people...especially student..."we" aren't SU. We are and need to be better than that.

Seats next to mine are with a Fargo business/company. Different people sitting in them most nights. Guy next to me had a Ferris Buhler 31 Flavors moment stating LaDue is "jumping ship" after the season for the "Canadian Jr league".

I wasn't at the game, but when you have a student represent that section in this way, UND needs to make a move.  This student need to be banned from all games for rest of year.  I would like to and have started a twitter movement in support of coach Jim.  This movement would be to ban this student and lift up the Montgomery family.  #SIOUX4JIM

Isn't this a "Code of Student Conduct" issue as well?

Support the Montgomery's, that's great...I wouldn't give this other person a second of my attention; apparently that's all he/she wanted in the first place.

Observations: NS best game in months. Caggs snipe was crazy. He had about a square foot box in that upper corner. Pogs is becoming a beast. I think the Poolman at forward experiment has run its course. LJ has to find a way to plays consistent and smarter. Mac and Parks can see "it" heading down the stretch......they are going to carry this team.

Interested to hear how everyone thought Jordan played last night.

Imho......I'd like to see him lay the body on a winger coming in along the boards a bit more.....have to think that the next level will need him to play more physical.

He had a few wtf moments with the puck especially in the 3rd on a play in the o zone that almost resulted in a 2 on 0 breakaway.

Is there a possibility he has been and is playing hurt?

Assuming this person knew what was going on and his attention wasn't focused elsewhere, I agree. I am certain he has already been embarrassed to the point he won't want to show his face because of all the negative attention. I don't want to become pitchfork nation as Dan Barreiro would describe it, because if we want to take classless even further, we can boot a lot of the student section on any given night for chants. The students even booed when they announced Jim Montgomery as coach, but it is o.k. because they didn't know his dad died. If he was drunk does he get a pass like many people do when they are obnoxious beyond belief and some think it is hilarious. Classless behavior obviously has different levels, but who is going to be the judge of that. Hope nobody decides wearing the Sioux logo meets that standard. Not trying to excuse this jerk, because frankly there isn't any excuse, but that can be said of a lot of behavior and how people are treated.

I suppose it would be too much to expect the person who yelled to come out and publicly offer up an apology. It wouldn't take away what he did but it would be a nice sign of contricion to Coach Montgomery, the Pio team, and UND.

Also, would it be out of line to do another moment of silence at tonight's game?

Great points. It's probably all society's fault anyways that this poor college kid didn't get enough hugs and goodnight kisses from mommy and daddy as a baby. We should all appreciate our diversity and cultural differences and think about the social benefit of him using such language during a moment of silence for a deceased person. Now, let's all gather around the campfire after tonight's Traditional Circle of Sticks and share our feelings on this person's choice of words. We can roast marshmallows and sing "Give Peace a Chance" until we fall asleep in a giant hug of forgiveness.

Or...

We can expect this moron to face some consequences for his actions.

One of my friends tweeted that the kid is from Hillsboro and was given a minor last night. He was also escorted from the arena.
