LuvHockey Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 In the era of declining enrollments, as long as there is a rink available, it is a good plan to add hockey for the enrollment it offers these schools. And Club hockey is popular in many of them. Look at U Jamestown: 3 hockey teams- 1 D1 Men- 1 D2 men- and 1 for women. All club level, all full (or nearly full) rosters. Quote

Great, can't wait for NIL to ruin college Hockey too - I understand the argument for it, but it really is about the worst thing for college sports overall IMO. 1 Quote

Is the sport just becoming more popular nationally or? Seems kind of like all at once with UNLV vs AA, ASU really taking a step forward, Wildcats, now fricken Georgia? Not complaining. Just think it’s odd? The Goergia one has been known for a couple years now. High Point was one that hasn't done anything yet but have a 10-year plan. Quote

Could Orleans be an option too? Maybe they give UNLV a better deal if they are looking for a major tennant for example. Quote
