Any chance they pick up a football game or 2 as well? I think everybody would appreciate an FSN deal for ALL sports at some point..... 2 Quote
homer Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Congrats ladies and athletic dept. Great for twin cities coverage. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Gfhockey would like everyone to know he knew about this last Thursday. He's on time out right now but he PM'd me to make sure everybody knows, haha. To be fair, he actually did seem to have some inside info. 2 Quote

Oxbow6 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Sure beats a 1D concert... Ummmmmmm...sure. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Football already has a deal with Midco for games so those can't be added. I was under the impression the midco deal was for all sports. Why the sudden change for volleyball and basketball? Quote

Feff Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Giving up a home sweep? Pryor has some work to do. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 FoxNorth Sports must have been in need of fall programming and happened to see UND-Idaho or UND-Portland St and liked it. Don't think it will apply to UND basketball, except maybe UND-UM women's games, as with UM, the Wild, and the Wolves, they have much more programming. Hope Fraase and Spacek can be outside hitters. We need help and height in those positions. NAU and Idaho St just seem to overpower us. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 With the dawn of Big Ten Network, Fox Sports North (formerly known as the "All Goldie, All The Time" Channel) is probably looking for more local/regional content. 1 Quote
Dustin Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 I'm not sure what Pryor was up to last night. He pretty much conceded the game after the intermission. Maybe he trying to give his starters a hard lesson in "if you're not going to produce, you're not going to play." He seemed content to watch his team lose. Quote
southpaw Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 From the press release: UND Athletics will utilize full time staff and professional freelancers, as well as UND students, on its production crew. That's why FSN will be more likely to air UND games in the future. It's a lot less work for them because a majority of the crew is in-house from UND and the area. They don't have to worry about bringing up a full crew for a game. Quote
nodak651 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 They need to turn up the crowd volume though. It was boring to watch in comparison to the normal production. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Fire Pryor? Simple question. Although its in jest, that thought shouldn't cross anyone's mind. Considering they will more than likely finish with another 20+ win season and top 4 in the Sky. If they can just figure out a rotation in which they can get enough offense from the outside hitters and enough defense from them, they can win come tourney time. The hitting numbers from the last 4 games have been less than impressive and giving up near a .300 clip isn't going to win you very many games in the Sky. We do need some height from the outers however, next year might fix that issue. Quote

Forgot that FSN was losing some Gopher games to the B1G Ten Network. FSN can one stop shop with UND athletics. NDSU, SDSU, and USD don't have digital or satellite capability other than MidCo's. Maybe NDSU can sell a BB game with microwave technology. Quote

With a full recruiting season, it will be interesting who he can land. A P5 outside hitter would be nice. When we lost Munkeby and Parlich, not many teams could withstand those type losses to graduation. Dooley, Griffin, and Hart make as strong of a core of your players as any in the Big Sky. Pioske would have better opportunities if UND had a power OH to go with her. Quote

No1siouxfan Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 They have to find a way to keep the energy up, seems like they finally get it, and then it just completely falls away. Pryor needs to find a way to light that fire, or the girls have to do that for themselves. The talent is there, no doubt, it is just getting them together as a cohesive group, they seem to be walking on the floor completely defeated before they start. Shaking up the lineup in the last set was interesting, but I don't know that is going to motivate them. They need to be built up, they seem like they are afraid the way it is, got to find a way to come together as a TEAM. Quote
