ericpnelson Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Schlossman @SchlossmanGF9m Chyzyk pleaded not guilty to the offense today in municipal court. Trial currently scheduled for Feb. 19, per Steve Lee. Expand Schlossman @SchlossmanGF12m Bryn Chyzyk, facing a charge of theft of less than $250, has been suspended indefinitely from the team. Quote
ericpnelson Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 I see that this is being talked about in the vs Northern Michigan thread. Feel free to delete this is deemed unnecessary. Didn't realize that when I posted this. Quote
Laker Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I'm wondering if this is something that could get Chyzyk kicked off the team (if he is found guilty of the theft...or even the accusation alone). Can anyone think of a similar precedent? Quote

ericpnelson Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Schlossman tweeted $4 taxi cab bill... Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 wait what a 4 dollar taxicab bill. WTF Quote
PhillySioux Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Is that a thing? A dine and dash for taxis? Quote
johnsowe Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 This doesnt seem right for 4 dollars there has to be more to the story. Quote
siouxhockeyfan11 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 $4 sounds like the price of a cab crawler ride if they still do that. Quote
andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 He is pleading not guilty. He must be pretty sure he didn't do it to make a stink about $4 and wants to keep his name clean. Weird situation. Quote

SiouxTupa Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I like Hak's stance on this (given the limited info.) If it really was a $4 cab ride that he skipped out on, it's really strange that he's taking it to court. I really hope the suspension isn't until Feb, unless further details emerge. Get it resolved sooner, and don't be stupid. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 DISCLAIMER: If this is really about $4 and a cab ride the response has to be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYLKQljwoEM If there is more to it (and there almost has to be), Hakstol is taking the right approach. Quote
82SiouxGuy Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 This is his 3rd offense of some kind in less than 1 1/2 years. He was one of the players cited for underage drinking after the big party before last season and was charged with minor in possession last April. Hak took scholarship money away from him after that incident. All of this information is in the latest GF Herald story. 1 Quote

scpa0305 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I get that trouble follows this kid or he is an idiot (probably both), however, this stuff is so petty. He got a couple minors and this "misunderstanding". I mean he didn't beat up the cabbie (P. Kane). I hope this can be resolved. If it was $4....OMG. I say we let the kid play. Give him one more chance. I have done much worse and turned out somewhat ok. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I'm going to default to trusting Coach Hakstol on this one. 1 Quote

Time for him to sit and think, hockey/school or Fu$&ing around and wasting your talent? 1 Quote
