I didn't know Bollinger had relatives on this forum; so much for objective analysis. I think Vigen would be a good candidate for a coaching position at UND. Huge salary difference with Wyoming vs. NDSU and even 5 years there would make him a very rich man. I was one who thought Nebraska would be his choice, but this makes sense. More money, higher class of competition and possible Big 12 move. These guys (coaches) seem to love improving and reaching the apex ibpn your field of competition seems to require a move to try it at the next level. Passing up a huge payday like he got to wait for a long shot (in my opinioni) doesn't seem like a smart move. I don't know the answer but how many high profile BCS schools have gone to the FCS level to hire a head coach? Jim Tressel to Ohio State was one. We also hear that at this time, Bohl plans to continue to coach his NDSU team through their playoff run. What do our NDSU posters think of this? I am surprised at all the shock I'm seeing. Raiding programs for coaches happens all the time while the season is still going on - USC hires Sarkisian back from Washington and interim Ed Orgeron quits immediately in protest. Washington promptly plucks Chris Peterson away from Boise State as a replacement. Boise hires Chris Mussman away from UND tomorrow. Ok, just kidding on that last one but you get the idea. I would bet that Boise State gives Eastern Washington or Sam Houston State a call on Monday though. Sorry, Bison fans...this is how it is done. Still think you can take on the Alabamas and Florida States of the BCS knowing your coach is now going to pull in a MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR MORE at small-time U of Wyoming? Good point on Bohl and his cheerleader fetish in Lincoln. They may not want him back. But, if he wins in Laramie, they may not care. I know people get mad when I point out that FCS is a sub level. But, if this doesn't drive that point home to the sheep shearers at the University of Agriculture and Applied Science, nothing will. FBS has big, big $$$. FCS can't compete. Once again, I am happy UND is at the FCS level. The Big Sky Conference is absolutely perfect for UND. Now, let's hire that Montana coach ASAP!
