ericpnelson
What's your opening play? I hope they try and turn the building on with a heave to Hardin to or run go, go Golliday
Siouxperman8
Driving in from the Twin Cities for the game tonight. Really excited for some tailgating and football.
Siouxperfan7
What's your opening play? I hope they try and turn the building on with a heave to Hardin to or run go, go Golliday If the year was 1995 and RT was still at the helm, I would say run up the middle!! But since it is 2013, I predict play action...deep to one of our stud wide outs...TOUCHDOWN!!!
Let'sGoHawks!
What's your opening play? I hope they try and turn the building on with a heave to Hardin to or run go, go Golliday Good question. I say a Golladay for a deep TD.
Feff
What's your opening play? I hope they try and turn the building on with a heave to Hardin to or run go, go Golliday Gonna go crazy, 4 WR set but run draw with Miller.
homer
I'm going with simple handoff off tackle on the first play. Our first pass will be a bubble screen. Within the first 5 plays though we go for the endzone on a deep pass to Golloday and he gets the first TD of the season.
BigGame
I think it's a pass play to break in the rookie QB.
ericpnelson
Whose returning Kickoff's? Assuming we are taking a kickoff and not a punt to start, that question could depend a lot on field position.
darell1976
My dad was just given 2 tickets to the game, and asked if I wanted to go..like he had to ask. In 6 hours I am Grand Forks bound!!!

Alerus Center goes crazy!!!
Matt
They want to establish something on the ground. I'm thinking something off tackle.
Sioux04
I say throw Bartels into the fire and take play action with a deep ball to Hardin. 7-0 Sioux!
UNDvince97-01
I think UND comes out and establishes the run early. Lots of 21 personnel groups. I think they want their new and young FBs and TEs to get some good work and try get comfy in the run game heading into the SDSU week. I could also see them spreading them out and running the ball out of some 1-back stuff. They very well could throw one up early in the 1st 2 plays, but I see the theme being establishing a running game early on and giving Bartels some easy reads and intermediate throws to gain confidence. I think Valpo will be coached up and ready for the deep throw early. Can't wait.
UNDColorado
I am having a hard time concentrating at work today! They get the ball and punt and Golladay takes it to the house on the return!
TBR
I think that in looking ahead to SDSU we would want to fine tune the passing game moreso than the running game. We will need to put up alot of points early on SDSU to take their run game away.

We will need to put up alot of points early on SDSU to take their run game away. Balance is the key to keeping a good defense off balance. We need to be able to run and pass against them to keep them honest. They're too good to be one dimensional against. But I do agree that our big advantage over them will be our WR, the likes of which they don't see in their run oriented conference.
geaux_sioux
I've never been so excited for UND to play a terrible team. I'm about ready to run through a brick wall for this season to start already.
The Sicatoka
What's your opening play? Shot-gun, four wide (three to the wide side right) and a back to the right of Bartels. Bobbled snap. Picked up by Bartels, scramble over left guard, fall forward. Second and six.
The Sicatoka
I'm bummed that there's no Midco HD tonight, just for the rest of the season. http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=209202961
NewUNDAlum
Am I blind or was Jameer Jackson not on the top 4 of the WR depth chart on Miller's section in the paper?
UND-FB-FAN
I'm bummed that there's no Midco HD tonight, just for the rest of the season. http://www.undsports...TCLID=209202961 They won't have the homecoming game against Eastern Washington in HD either because hockey is at home against Vermont. That's cute I guess...
darell1976
Am I blind or was Jameer Jackson not on the top 4 of the WR depth chart on Miller's section in the paper? He wasn't. Starters: Hardin, and Golladay; Backups: Bridges, and Townsend

mksioux
6,000 posts...of which, probably 5,975 are in the hockey section. Following anything Fighting Sioux in MSP is about like seeking out fellow Viking fans when you live across the street from Lambeau Field. Like I said, I ventured here for information because I don't follow Sioux, er, North Dakota football and was browsing this forum. It's not any harder to follow UND football from the Twin Cities than UND hockey. In fact, given the sub-par NCHC TV deal, you could argue that in terms of watching the games, following UND football is now actually easier than following UND hockey. Big Sky TV is a remarkable asset for following UND football.
NewUNDAlum
Ok, now that I know Jackson really wasn't on the top 4 of the depth chart, can someone explain to me how that is possible? Unless he is hurt and I never realized it I can't comprehend how that is accurate.
