NoiseInsideMyHead Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 To commemorate the demolition of the Old Ralph, I would like to share some pictures taken just prior to her demise. http://s1365.photobu...eshow/Old Ralph 4 Quote

MafiaMan Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Aren't they standing on the site of what used to be the eastern-most dorm on the campus? Quote
Walsh Hall Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I know it had to happen, but this is sad. So many great memories in that place. Even the bad memories are good memories... I love walking into the new Ralph, but the Winter Sports Center felt like going home. 1 Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Aren't they standing on the site of what used to be the eastern-most dorm on the campus? Not quite, that area is fenced off. I think they were standing just to the north of where East Hall was (which was demolished after my freshman year at UND). I was there watching some of the demolition today. Bittersweet.......bitter because we are losing an iconic building; sweet because of the state-of-the-art IPF that will come of it. Quote
Siouxperfan7 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I may have to get over there and maybe get a small piece of concrete as a keepsake. May have to be sneaky to get inside the orange fences!! Quote
108498 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 they shoukd play a slideshow this year before games or during intermissions of the old days . Quote
Siouxperfan7 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Anyone know if they are still selling seats? Quote

I lived in the KE house just north of there. Perfect location for hockey games. 1 Quote

108498 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Is the building gone now? Please take a photo with it gone. Also when is ground breaking for the new building? Quote
Sodbuster Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Is the building gone now? Please take a photo with it gone. Also when is ground breaking for the new building? If it's gone already, that's a very efficient demolition project. That's not exactly a small building. Quote
108498 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I have only scene a photo with the current team. I haven't seen any work photos past the beginning stage. Quote
jimdahl Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Wow, that brings back memories. That's still what I picture when I think of "the Ralph". I know, I'm old. Quote
Wilbur Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Guess I had never seen a picture of the Sioux locker room. I'd been in the visitors locker room, but never got to see the Sioux room. Thanks. Quote
