watchmaker49 Posted April 12, 2013 Share Posted April 12, 2013 Saw Hartzell play for Sioux Falls against the Fargo Force at the first ever game at the then Urban Plains Center. (Force won 2-1) Game winning goal was scored by Luke Witkowski (Western Mich, just went pro), and the Force goaltender was SCSU's own Mike Lee. Believe Nate Condon scored a goal in that game too. Hartzell's dad was coaching Sioux Falls then. Thought he was pretty good then. So that is Kevin Hartzell's kid. Weird to see after he's had some amazing games (especially against the Sioux, it seems) this season. That first goal set the tone IMO. They may not have athletic scholarships. But they have academic scholarships, which I would assume requires the same academic standards that other students would be under.
