MafiaMan Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Habs in 6 and Hawks in 7. Canadiens...Blackhawks...Rangers...and a member of the Class of '67...couldn't have asked for a better Final Four. Well, unless the Red Wings were in there, but that's about it... Quote
sioux rube Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 It's really quite stunning that the "Finnish Flash" has been in the NHL since 1993. Isn't he the last of the old Winnipeg Jets? I would think he has to be... And in 93' he still has the record for most goals by a rookie with 76. Averaged a point a game during his career. One hell of a player. Quote
MafiaMan Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I'm surprised Matt Greene doesn't get more love from fans on the board here. He has really turned himself into quite an inpressive NHL player. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Epic Habs meltdown in this game. Yeah, what happened there? I saw Bourque make it 2-1, got attacked by the nap-monster, and it was 7-1 when I woke up. Quote
207Sioux Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Yeah, what happened there? I saw Bourque make it 2-1, got attacked by the nap-monster, and it was 7-1 when I woke up. They gave up two in the second in spite of having a pretty good period, and then just melted down in the third. They took a series of stupid penalties and the Rangers were surprisingly able to score power play goals today. Quote

Matt always was one of my favorite Sioux defensemen. Big & quick & could lay a player out when the team needed a boost. Glad the Kings made it so I can watch Matt. Will be great to see Toews knock off another former Sioux & their team. Quote
Fetch Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I had my dog retrieve a duck for him when he was here 1 Quote
Blackheart Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 They were beaten by a lower seeded opponent. That is a fact, not just my biased opinion. ok, but your original post said 'inferior' opponent, not 'lower seeded' opponent....and that's a fact as well. 1 Quote
werewolfoflondon Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Stupid question of the day. Why is it in hockey the home team wears the dark jersey and all other sports it is the opposite? Saw a UND Toews jersey in the crowd today. Quote

Redneksioux Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Jonny has won everywhere he's been. How did that dot line not get it done here? Quote
sprig Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Wonder if we'll even see Greene in the series with Mitchell back Quote
Redneksioux Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 How can an alternate captain not even play in the western conference finals? Quote
MafiaMan Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 More colorful for the home crowd. That wasn't the reason the NHL mandated the change. And actually, it's red vs white now for EVERY home game in Chicago as opposed to white vs black, red, blue, green, etc... Quote
southpaw Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Home teams wanted to use their 3rd jerseys more so they changed it to home darks. Wish it was home whites, as it is nice to see other teams colors more. Quote
UND-RedSox fan Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Middle of the day playoff games are really stupid. The NHL playoffs are the best sports in the world. They need to be in prime time. Quote
petey23 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 How can an alternate captain not even play in the western conference finals? Greene has played 9 of their 15 games so far. 5-4 with him in lineup and 3-3 with him watching. Quote

Siouxman Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Montreal could be in trouble. Revealed today that goalie Carey Price injured a knee when Chris Kreider slide into him skates first early in the game. They will know more tomorrow, but he may be out. Big drop off from Price to their backup goalie. Quote
