Mark Osiecki will not return as Ohio State men’s hockey head coach "We are making a change in our head hockey coaching position," Smith said. siouxweet Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Next possible rumor...Gwoz to the B1G? gwoz was a consultant when they hired osiecki and some rumored he possibly would end up theyre at that time as coach. I'll put my money on him ending up there versus maine. Quote

Goon Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Hakstol should put the push on recruit Stepan. No doubt, or he could end up a Gopher Quote
SiouxScore Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Hakstol should put the push on recruit Stepan. Stepan would be very good if he opts to re-open, another one to watch is D Jack Dougherty (2014 or 2015?) of St.Thomas as I believe he was a recent OSU commit and I think he had already visited UND. Snake Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Does anyone expect Osiecki to pursue another head college job, and if so, will another domino fall now that he may be on the market? Quote
keikla Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Does anyone expect Osiecki to pursue another head college job, and if so, will another domino fall now that he may be on the market? Maybe he'll head up to Anchorage. It's like musical chairs around here. Quote

I don't know anything about them other than what I just read on USCHO. Quote
Mariucci Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 No doubt, or he could end up a Gopher Looks like you may be right. I have a great source that says Stepan has decided to get a release from OSU and commit to the Gophers. The only potential problem might be getting the release since we are now in the same conference. Quote

His numbers are inflated due to the line he plays on (yes I know the others are gopher recruits as well) but I think both Kloos and Tammaratta are the one's driving his production. They are all tiny though. Quote

siouxnews Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 would he be committing to minnesota for this fall or the next? Quote
Mariucci Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 would he be committing to minnesota for this fall or the next? Quite sure it's for this fall. Quote
brianvf Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Quite sure it's for this fall. How many forward recruits are coming in for them? Seems like a ton. Quote
Mariucci Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 How many forward recruits are coming in for them? Seems like a ton. Cammaratta, Kloos, Guertler, and Fasching. And Conner Reilly will be a redshirt freshman after missing last season. Stepan would make 6 freshman forwards Quote
brianvf Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Definitely a different look for UMN next season. Might be some growing pains with that many frosh, but all 6 are highly skilled, so that will be offset a bit. Is Stepan to UMN confirmed? Quote
siouxnews Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 i havent seen anything confirmed on stepan. Quote

I suppose one of them could be held back a year if in fact Stepan does choose the Gophers. The only thing I can confirm is he is de-committing from OSU. Quote
MissSioux85 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Via College Hockey News RT @chnews: Steve Rohlik to be named permanent Ohio State coach tomorrow. Hmm... I thought Gwoz would have been a nice fit at OSU. Maybe they couldn't afford him. Quote
yzerman19 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Bjugstad with 9 games in the show 0 points and a minus 7...rather tough start for the young man. Quote
