geaux_sioux Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Looks kind of stiff to me, hopefully that can be worked on He does get nice and low in his stance presnap. Post snap not as flexible though. Quote
iramurphy Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Kids has quick first step. Squares up nicely on pass protection and keeps feet underneath his shoulders. Keeps feet moving on run blocking and drives defenders down line of scrimmage. He plays til whistle and maybe sometimes beyond. Has quick move when he cut blocks. Keeps hands inside defenders shoulders which should decrease chance of holding calls. Looks like a good get! Doubt he runs a 4.5 forty Quote
forksandspoons Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/8743658/espn-junior-college-100 I found one player that went to the same college as Sleight in this top 100 JUCO players list, he committed to play at Arkansas. Hopefully we can get some more guys from this school in the future. Quote
UND1983 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 HInes ended up going to NDSU. They were his only offer (other than Army) according to SamsRams guy on their board. Quote

Weird to see how many schools cooled on him and moved on. Seemed like he was getting a fair amount of attention at one point. Regardless, best of luck to the kid. Quote
jjensen Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Weird to see how many schools cooled on him and moved on. Seemed like he was getting a fair amount of attention at one point. Regardless, best of luck to the kid. They also talked about possible problems off the field with him. I don't think bubba wants any of that attention or attitude (thinking he's better than the teams that wanted him) Quote

I don't think bubba wants any of that attention or attitude (thinking he's better than the teams that wanted him) That's right, UND didn't want him. Rivals has him with offers from Illinois State, USD and UND also. Quote
jdub27 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 That's right, UND didn't want him. Rivals has him with offers from Illinois State, USD and UND also. It has been confirmed the new staff had no interest in him. Your site also confirmed his only remaining offer as of signing day was Army. Not sure what point you are trying to make? Quote
JohnboyND7 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Hopefully it works out... If not... Hope he weeds out early. Looks like a quality player... And maybe he'll be what the coaching staff thinks he can be. Tough to compete in college athletics if you don't take any chances. But if army thought he was good enough.... Then I'm led to believe he must be a decent guy at worst. Quote
UND-1 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 That's right, UND didn't want him. Rivals has him with offers from Illinois State, USD and UND also. Of course Bisonation didn't update their website to show his only offer was Army. Plus they tweeted to Dom about how big of a "get" he was. Is it really a big "get" if you are the only visit he had and his only real offer (since Army was obviously not in his plans)? Kind of hard to not get him. Quote

Interesting they are pumping the tires so much on this one. Coincidence that they offered a 2015 class DE who was a teammate of Hines and already has offers from WMU, NIU along with serious interest from some B1G schools the same day this kid commits? Quote
Hambone Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 UND will have another JUCO DB visit this weekend. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1387493/aaron-rogers Quote
Csonked Out Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 UND will have another JUCO DB visit this weekend. http://www.hudl.com/...93/aaron-rogers Seems like a playmaking Safety. The thing I love about a lot of these recruits is that they all seem like pretty sound tacklers. Quote

Hambone Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Looks like they are expecting a Charles Flowers on campus today. He's a cornerback. http://www.citrusowl...rs_charles_nmoh Played at Citrus College. http://www.hudl.com/...charles-flowers Flowers committed. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Flowers committed. Woo. Warm bodies are good. Quote
MoSiouxFan Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Flowers committed. Looks like a playmaking corner that knows how to cover (and tackle). Hope it translate well to the BSC. Quote
forksandspoons Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I like the play he makes at 0:45. Looks like he can play zone and man pretty well. Quote
Hambone Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 UND will have another JUCO DB visit this weekend. http://www.hudl.com/...93/aaron-rogers Along with Aaron Rodgers, it appears Colton Boas will also be visiting this weekend. Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Flowers committed. Good addition. Need CBs and he looks like he could possibly step right in and contribute. Quote
UNDColorado Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I like that this new staff seems to be still recruiting and filling positions of need. Nice to see. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Per SFI, Colton Boas has committed to UND. More beef. Keep em comin. He looks agile and really powerful on film. Nice and low, moves people and finishes every play when his guys is out or down. Maybe he'll be the center next year? Could we see Walker move to DL? He's shown promise blocking kicks. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Interestingly Boas is Bubba's second three star juco OL..... not too shabby. Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Interestingly Boas is Bubba's second three star juco OL..... not too shabby. It starts up front and I love that the new coaching staff is emphasizing that. Gotta be able to pound the rock. Quote
