petey23 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Why tweet. why not just drive down to recruits house and try and talk him out of his commitment......didn't get in any trouble for that, other than looking like a couple idiots.(Sonmor, who is an idiot and Nanne, who I like) Quote
GFG Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Let's hope no Gopher fans donate 100 dollars to UND and then tweet Seth and get us in trouble. GFG we're looking at you. I'm in college. I can barely afford my alcohol and food Quote
siouxforce19 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I'm in college. I can barely afford my alcohol and food that's not just a college problem.... that's a life problem haha Quote
GFG Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 that's not just a college problem.... that's a life problem haha Lol, can't argue with that. Country music, grilling, sports and beer is pretty much my life haha. Most of my pay goes to supporting the above haha Quote
siouxnami Posted April 15, 2012 Author Posted April 15, 2012 Back on topic. Seth with 1-2-3 today... Quote
crb1 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Well Seth had great game against Canada. He scored a goal and was huge defensively for team USA. Here is a link to a recap of the game and the stars. http://unitedstatesofhockey.com/2012/04/18/u18wmc-getting-bye-usa-can-recap/ Quote
The Sicatoka Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Well, the US U-18s are in the gold medal game after defeating Canada 2-1 today in the semifinals. Jones with 2 assists. http://stats.iihf.com/Hydra/292/IHM292227_74_3_0.pdf I almost feel sorry for the lad. Soon he's going from that pressure cooker back to the states and the pressure cooker of "what'd you decide?" Quote
Siouxhockey1978 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Man Seth is good. Getting him would be totally huge for UND but not counting on it. If he goes to UND many schools r going be saying. Damn I wish we had a chance at this kid. What ever happened to Seth's older brother and I believe he also has a younger brother that plays hockey? Come Seth choose The Sioux Quote

sioux24/7 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Over on HF they are comparing Seth to Lindstrom and Pronger. Quote

as15 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 When you r that good? does it really matter where u go Just like Toews, Parise etc, Seth Jones could play in China and still be an extremely good player. It doesn't matter if he comes here or goes to Everett, he will make it to the NHL. It just comes down to where he wants to spend a year of his life, which is essentially his last year of non-professional life. Quote
tnt Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Over on HF they are comparing Seth to Lindstrom and Pronger. Heard the same thing about Erik Johnson. Hopefully he comes here and is the real deal when it comes to those comparisons. Quote
Blackheart Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Over on HF they are comparing Seth to Lindstrom and Pronger. Pronger? So you're saying he's a goon? Quote
Siouxhockey1978 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Pronger? So you're saying he's a goon? now now let's play nice...lol Wish that game was on tv so i could watch it Quote
Siouxhockey1978 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I see there is only kid on the USA team going for the gold not committed anywhere. What's the scoop on this kid? Andrew Copp Quote
siouxforce19 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I see there is only kid on the USA team going for the gold not committed anywhere. What's the scoop on this kid? Andrew Copp He was a mid season add last year. Apparently a really good football player also. So he has opportunities there too. But hockey's his first choice. Quote

siouxforce19 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Oh ic maybe another steal for the Sioux? Doubtful that he'll even be here so no. Quote
crb1 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Well the U-18 team won gold and now it truly is decision time for Seth. I suppose in the next week or two we will know if we got him or not. Quote
sioux24/7 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I think our chances of getting him are less than 1% Quote
siouxnami Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 I don't understand the negativity, is this reverse psychology? We have a better league, program, history, facilities, nhl track record, alumni. He should pick UND. Quote

He should pick UND. It is totally reverse psychology. I would say our chances of landing him are better than 1%. If that was the case he would have never come on an official visit. We have just as good a chance as Everett and it really probably comes down to a few reasons why one way or the other. Quote
Sodbuster Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I'm just glad this is finally going to be done. One way or the other. Quote
