PAC-12 is only at 8 FB teams.  One would think they HAVE to keep adding in the coming years.

I would think UNLV & UTEP would be most likely targets. Plus one non-football school to balance out Gonzaga

i would say unm instead of el paso....and yes...add st mary's or heck grab grand canyon from the mwc..

so yes they will probably add a couple more....even above the above two mentioned....

mwc isn't what it used to be obviuously and will be even weaker in a couple years.....or months.

If you really think this is the same thing, you are in for a rude awakening. FBS is many times more expensive than FCS.

Well aware of that.  Of course we heard that back then also.

But heres a question--why are you guys so butt hurt that we are moving up?  UND has made no hint at moving up what so ever. So you must be happy where you are at. We werent and made the move.  so why the angst? Why not be mad at your leaders instead?

I understand this is a really hard time for you but girls wrestling has like 50 teams in ND already lol

Hey, John boy could you fire up that Title IX - womens hockey lawsuit for the ladies in Fargo.  It's time to call NDSU's bluff on Title IX.

UNLV probably would have bailed to the new Pac12, but they may have been told if Nevada wasn’t invited, they can’t go alone. Package deal.

Lots of speculation on that.

money out...."women's" wrassling.......how much money is coming in from it?  asking for some people that keep writing about how it's racist that und dropped women's hockey

adding any women's sport is EXPENSIVE in the long run

Money out the door on women's wrestling would be pennies compared to women's hockey.

Money coming in would be similar (basically $0)

UND caught unprepared and looking like fools again.  Infuriating.

No flipping way UND or even the SD or MT schools would ever be able to afford $17 million dollar entrance fee plus millions of dollar increase in budget every year. Good luck to NDSU for finding that cash every year, can’t wait to see the student fee increase get passed !!!!

I'm surprised NDSU will pay no exit fee to the MVFC and gets to cancel their '26 games.   I always thought the point of having an exit fee was to keep teams from walking away without a long time notice.  UND will take a hit over not having that sellout game at the Al.

The game this year should have been in the Fargodome anyway so there’s that. You will have to find someone else to play that you can screw your fans by charging $90 for a ticket that costs $12 for any other game.

It was NDSU that wanted SDSU and UND at home on different years wasn’t it? I would feel bad for you guys, but you wouldn’t play us in the Alerus when we were in the Big Sky. Bubba gave in and we went to the Dome twice.

Your ticket prices also aren’t correct, but whatever!

The game was scheduled again for UND, ndsu requested that to get UND and sdsu off the same years being at home

your ticket prices are way off but ndsu has never been good at math, see 3 years of the same enrollment

Yes, the sport that puts a $2M dent in an athletic budget that gets no attendance.  You have an undefeated Fargo North/South combined program this year. Plus, Fargo Davies and West Fargo United are all having great seasons.  It's time for NDSU to account for it's survey/interest based Title IX scheme.

Im not sure what Fargo and West Fargo public schools have to do with NDSU.

The Three-Prong Test Overview:
  1. Proportionality: Athletic opportunities are substantially proportionate to enrollment.
  2. History and Expansion: A history of increasing opportunities for the underrepresented sex.
  3. Interest and Abilities: Fully accommodating the interests and abilities of the underrepresented sex.

Key Aspects of the Prong 3 Survey Approach:

  • Survey Purpose: To measure if the underrepresented sex (usually female) has unmet interest in specific sports or a sufficient number of participants to sustain a team.
  • Validity: Surveys must be comprehensive, high-response rate instruments (e.g., web-based, mandatory, or high-response email) to accurately gauge interest.
  • Interpretation: A non-response is often interpreted as a lack of interest, but schools must still demonstrate they have considered the potential for growth.

Action Required: If surveys indicate sufficient interest and ability to support a team, the school may be required to add that sport to meet compliance.

NDSU has opted to support Title IX via the "Interest and Abilities" prong.  So, having a strong and growing High School Sport in the Fargo/Moorhead area will in time lead to interest at the next level.  That is how it is related.

As stated before, if a women’s sport gets added it will be wrestling. Way higher participation than hockey in North Dakota and NDSU has a good wrestling history. And much cheaper than hockey.

Yeah Idk what any of this has to do with Fargo/West Fargo public schools.
