But the coaches were leaning on him and he showed speed and vision. Quote

He also played at the Five Nations tournament last summer that was in Colorado Springs. 1 Quote

It’ll be fun watching Mac as a UND player. Quote

brianvf Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Awesome! Welcome aboard Andrew!! Quote O'Neill made unofficial visits to UND, Michigan State and Western Michigan. "It's crazy; every time I go into the rink and see the facilities and weight room downstairs, it's mind-blowing," O'Neill said. "There's nothing like it." O'Neill is the first 2007-born player to commit to UND. He will play the 2023-24 season with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program Under-17 Team. Alright...one of the three Fargo/Moorhead kids down. Keep 'em coming Berry and Co! 4 Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Based on Laurila and Lindberg not mentioning Harvard in their stories by Brad it seemed like O'Neill was the Fargo/Moorhead kid they were after. With all their commits over the past few days the window for whoever it was may have closed though. Glad to see us get a local NTDP kid. 1 Quote

This kid played one year as a freshie @ South and then a AAA team last year in Chicago, is that correct? Good height..what caused his uptake as a solid recruit, a good summer + time spent in the USA hockey Select Festival? I’m just generally curious. Nice to see a Fargo, ND on the team in the upcoming years. Quote

Tier1 helps with exposure, etc. Most likely was the primary reason he was selected for the NTDP team. I’ve heard he’s always been good. Probably was the increased exposure playing tier 1 along with the fact he’s really athletic. Typically the athletes win in the long run. Quote

Great kid. At 15 he carried himself very well. 5 Quote
