burd Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 And you remember 1970 better than you do this morning:) For Mike there's probably more worth remembering from 1970. Back then, he was thankful for more each morning than a good stool and finding his dentures. Quote

hrkac Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 JT Miller with a goal and Grimaldi with a hattie in 6-2 win over Sweden today. Quote
Goon Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) I thought we fired that slacker. According to some fans they want to run Coach Hakstol out of town on a rail or throw him in the Red River because they said he can't coach. I guess those same fans know more about coaching than the NHL coaches. Edited February 10, 2011 by Goon Quote
Tsiouxnami Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 JT Miller with a goal and Grimaldi with a hattie in 6-2 win over Sweden today. So far, Grimaldi has 2 goals in the game against Russia. Quote
Tsiouxnami Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Team USA beat Russia 10-4 in the U18 Five Nations Tournament earlier today. I know Grimaldi had at least 2 goals in the win. (5 goals in 2 games. . . not too shabby!) Quote

I think concerns about his size are fading and the concern about one and done my be increasing: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/12807/iss_top30_risers_and_fallers_february2011/ Even if he only stays here one year, he's going to be a very special player. I'm glad that he is coming to UND rather than going to a different college or the MJ route. Plus, not even JToews left after a year. I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed two years at UND. Otherwise he'd just be leaving to play in the AHL. Quote

AZSIOUX Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 tuesday panzarella 1a in win - while his PIM are still off the charts and good enough for 3rd most in USHL his points have tripled already from his previous career highs. Quote

tho0505 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Quick Q & A with Koules: http://dansallows.co...w-miles-koules/ Its nice to know we're getting another player from Shattuck. I'm reading the book the Talent Code and the author talks about "talent hotbeds." Places such as Russia for Tennis, Brazil for soccer, and a place in Dallas for singers. I think we'd have to have Shattuck as a talent hotbed. The players that develop there become great hockey players. Quote
minnysioux Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 We had the most USHL all-stars this year (four). We should add Zajac and make it five. http://www.ushl.com/news/story.cfm?id=3817 Nick Mattson Quote
