Wish UND could benefit from a long string of postseason strong performances like Denver has. Love that he is gaining confidence, so hopefully the future holds that kind of postseason success for UND too. Can’t complain about Spunar’s play though, as UND needed to support him better at the Frozen Four with a better power play. 2 Quote

Our PP stats every year seem okay...never horrible...but always feels like we score all our PPG's when already up by 3 or 4 goals. Need some timely ones which never seem to happen. 3 Quote

Yeah, I can see how every team plays good defense in the postseason, but it isn’t like UND only had a chance or two, and Wisconsin wasn’t exactly a great penalty kill team. Need to impress upon the team that in playoffs you need to assume you may only get one power play, so you better bear down and have a sense of urgency on every one you manage to get. Quote
cberkas Posted Tuesday at 04:08 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:08 AM After getting lit up and being eliminated for the Clark Cup playoffs, Heil was taking out by the net. I had to laugh at the video https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1A8QrPusqv/?mibextid=wwXIfr Quote

As a UND fan in attendance it was hilarious in the moment and fun to laugh about after the game at McGovern's, Reids, Alary's () or wherever we went, but then to hear the backstory and realize it was mental health related indeed made it sad. It was a moment to remember but hopefully things came around for him. Checking hockeydb I see that he did have a brief career after college so that at least wasn't his last on-ice memory. Quote

I guess he’s got that all figured out now which is great. 3 Quote
Tbone Posted Wednesday at 09:07 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:07 PM If I remember correctly, Hirsch put up a ton of points being Z. Parise’ linemate at Shattuck St. Marys. 1 Quote

Hirsch was a really good college player and a solid prospect at that point in his career. Most good athletes have the "what could've been" thoughts but for him that had to be next level as he was one of the best at the time at the college level. I hope he's doing well. Quote

Just battled to fit in with teammates and had a ton of issues in his head. Tough story actually. There was another guy from Grand Rapids somewhat around that same age that was also unreal. Like top of the top. He went to the NTDP and started hearing voices etc. He drank to cope and it basically ended his very very promising career. He was later diagnosed with schizophrenia. Unfortunately his career was already over I believe. Can’t remember his name. Quote

Wilbur Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Colin Grubb is at the Northern Plains District Boys Player Development camp happening in West Fargo this weekend. If you have USA hockey TV you can stream games. He's in the 09 group which has a ton of ND kids that not shockingly don't play their hockey in North Dakota anymore. Fylling, Larken, Peterson, Bryan, Deschamp, Packulak, etc. If you had all those guys on a Team ND summer group that would be a fun group to watch. 1 Quote
