Any updates on Strinden?  Didn’t see him on the ice after he was down.  He was for sure not on the ice for handshakes as we were looking for him.

Any other potential injury concerns?

Lastly, bring in someone today from the F-M or Sioux Falls Curling Club to get the ice respectable by 600 pm Saturday. Whoever is currently in charge of the ice needs to consider a new career path.

Gotta give those bottom lines their time. If we are gonna rely on our depth to wear them out, we actually have to use those lines quite a bit. With all the media timeouts, I think the tendency is to overuse the top line. Not sure if that's what actually happened but kinda seemed like it.

What is the take on Keaton? I seen the video clip of him talking about the “next step “ in his career and watching his play don’t really align well. I get that he’s really young, but his play has digressed.

Reading a lot about the quality of the TV broadcasts … not much better production in the arena.  Music playing over loud speaker during play, most ref announcements weren’t heard in the arena.  Lucky to get a replay and then it was once from one angle.  

Enjoyed the bands during the UND game.

 It was also like sitting in the old Bill Jerome temperature wise … probably exacerbated by the fact we constantly had cold air blowing down directly on us.

Replay gives vibes of the disallowed goal vs BU.

And sitting under that cold air is pretty brutal.

A little worried about the Q game, the way we laid down was a bit concerning. Got the win, but that wasn’t pretty. We basically gassed out after the first. They outshot us so bad the last two periods

Assuming the ice will be bad on Saturday as well, we should adapt our style of play to match.

With a bouncing puck, when you have a chance, SHOOT THE DAMN PUCK! A bouncing puck on net favors the shooting team, as it is harder on the goaltender to stop a puck that is bouncing and moving around. Fancy passes don't work on bad ice.

Just dump it in deep and go get it, then cycle the puck until you get some open looks. We cannot pretend we are at home on good ice. We have to adapt. Hopefully the Frozen Four will have better ice.

I think we just have to simplify the game. Pucks deep and get on the forecheck and chip pucks out of your own zone as cleanly as possilbe. Unfortunately handling the puck is quite the chore on this ice and holding on to it for longer only increases the likely hood of getting a bad bounce and costly turnover. Really takes the skill out of the game.

Shots were 13-6 in period 2, 4-14 in period three so yes we got outshot in the third but not the second.

One could say that QU didn't do anything in the 1st, looked really good in the 2nd, and completely fell flat in the 3rd.

I get that  this is technically  Omahas bid to host, but feel like we (the city)  should have done more to boost this.

Assume it will be better when Augie is the host next time and there is more local investment. I think being on Thursday hurt,  that requires taking at least 2 days off from work.

That's the problem with this day off crap. I thought about going, but having to take Wednesday through Friday off from work was one of the problems. I could get it off, but I don't like to miss too much work.

He was out for handshake and he was chatting with a guy on Merrimack bench who didn’t have a uni on. Don’t know if it was a horn player or maybe an old coach etc.

I thought the cup check wad a flop too, but I also recall Strinden going into the end boards awkwardly (Drew a penalty) and wondered if that was the issue being brought up.

Okay you are the one who complained that I picked DU and you  referred to them of the Soviet teams from the 70s.   If you want UND to be mentioned in the same category as DU then they need to start winning championships.  Another performance like last night and that thread will be started tomorrow night around 8:30.
