Males are bigger, faster and stronger then Females. Why not just watch and appreciate their athletic ability. Why compare it to other teams with bigger advantages. I'm guessing you enjoy wanting UND Hockey, but news flash they would get killed if they played an AHL or NHL Schedule. UND football would get killed if they played an FBS P4 schedule. It is Women playing against Women, either enjoy it or don't I don't care, but why crap on them. 5 Quote

Yet you didn't mention that you had given up watching so it's weird to provide a why to something you haven't written. Instead, you make a misogynistic comment, get called out, and then claim you were just giving reasons. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Misogynistic would've been predicting "last". The women's game is in a terrible position. There's not enough competition worldwide. This (Olympic competitioin) should build it but it hasn't notably yet (see: US or Canada will win; I heard on radio US in prelims outscored opponents 26-1). I find the present womens game slow so I quit watching. Quote
southpaw Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago The quality of play from the teams outside of US/Canada is the highest it has ever been thanks to more opportunities in ncaa and now the PWHL. That league is also extending the careers of some of the best players who used to have to give up the sport to be able to make a living. The US is on a record-breaking heater the past year but that doesn't diminish the gains made by other countries which will narrow the gap. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Didn't a u15 boys soccer team absolutely thrash the USWNT a few months ago? 1 Quote

Sure, if you think the USWNT was trying to dominate a u15 team rather than use it for a friendly against a fast team as an opportunity to better find their weaknesses on D after losing in Rio. But, I guess that doesn't make headlines. Quote

They beat Canada 5-0 and are unbeaten against Canada in the last 7 games. As I said, outside of the top 2 teams, the rest of the field is significantly better than in previous years. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago 31-1. Congrats to Czechia on scoring on the US; Canada hang your head. 1 Quote

I was thinking this summer I read something but that was the Swiss women's national team getting smoked in June by a u15 boys team 7-1. Quote

sioux rube Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago As expected the women’s championship will be between USA and Canada. Canada struggled with Switzerland today 2-1 Quote
