brianvf Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Beat the Plante line, beat the Bulldogs! Also, keep them off the PP as much as possible. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/can-und-slow-down-minnesota-duluths-big-line Quote "With any good players, it's important to try to take away time and space, especially on the rush," Jackson said. "They hurt us on the Friday night in Grand Forks, because they were entering and making lateral plays, delaying, using their vision and skill to make plays on the rush. On Saturday, we did a better job of really tracking hard and trying to defend the line well, to not give them time and space to make those entry plays." Quote UND also will try to limit Bulldog power plays this weekend. Minnesota Duluth is converting 32.3% of its advantages, ranking No. 1 in the nation. The top power-play unit of the Plante brothers, Shaugabay, Callum Arnott and Ty Hanson has scored 24 goals on the advantage — more than 50 teams in the country. UND's penalty kill, after a brilliant two-month stretch (killing 32 of 34 opponent power plays), has allowed five goals in the last 11 opponent power plays. Quote

Username Taken Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I don’t like Duluth coming into the weekend winless in 4 games. Are they going to go winless in 6 straight conference games? It’s happened a few times to UND already this year (Denver and CC come to mind). Hoping for a UND sweep but worried the dogs will find a way to steal a point or two. The other thought I have…is riding the Plante line so hard finally catching up to UMD? Teams have a ton of film on them now and know they just have to shut them down to be successful. 2 Quote

I know sweeps are tough to come by in this league, but I think it is alright to start believing in this team again. This isn't last year's team. 1 Quote
InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago UMD's Powerplay and PK is very very good. Play this series 5 on 5 and it's a sweep. Get caught up in the BS between whistles and it's a split. 3 Quote

Found it interesting under: ‘Game News and Notes’ that both head coaches for this weekend are UND alumni. Berry ‘83-‘86, and Sandelin ‘82-‘86. You do a great job Dave, blessings. 2 3 Quote

stoneySIOUX Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Let's go, boys. Time to get rolling again. 7-29-9 26-17-21 19-8-15 27-20-14 4-2 25-18 16-6 13 35 31 1 My call, UND wins 5-3. I think that third line can FEAST against t-Dogs. Kernan, Croal, Zellers, Liver, Geno. Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If Denver can shut down UMD's only line, we can too. Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Anyone boots in the ground in Duluth? Curious what the crowd split is. Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago They just played The Ketchup Song between the whistles. Well done Duluth Quote

Sioux90 Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago Breakouts are poor, and too many turnovers. Need to settle down, and forecheck. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago Not a good start on trying to limit penalties… Quote
