Anyone else watch the SDSU game on Midco?

No way they play that bad Saturday

1st half was a pick 6, fumble on ensuing kicoff. .

Punter drops the ball after 4 and out. Leaves I state great field possession. They score

It just kept rolling on.

If I remember right their defense didn't give up any points in the second half either so no I don't think they play that bad on Saturday.

I think they will blitz Jerry and try to get in passing lanes (bat down passes) and throw off timing of his throws. With the blitz they will get more guys in the box to stuff the run. If we cannot get sustained drives against them, their offense can wear down our defense.

Herd made it sound like from his perspective that ISU took their foot off the gas and just played conservative no turnover play calling to protect the lead. But also that could just be what it appeared like. The first 28 points ISU didn't have to go far with short field or defensive TD.

How about this version: Our run defense has controlled every team we have played and is #1 in the toughest FCS conference in the nation. Their run offense is last. We shut down their run, they have to pass and our league leading interception defense picks up a couple more and scores at least one defensive touchdown. Our offensive line steamrolls them and Jerry throws a couple of touchdowns, the student section is empty by the fourth quarter.

Sounds good to me!

Our teams mentally has to prepare and prep like they are playing against an SDSU type team from last year. I'm not sure if its because we were underdogs or what....but against K State and Montana.....and basically first half of the season we just seemed locked in from the first snap. That is what I want to see on Saturday, dialed in and ready to roll from the opening kickoff. Would like us to get our Mojo back on Saturday.

I agree, my point is our offense needs to play that complete game. (SDSU will try to recreate what USD and NDSU have done) This game is going to be a legit playoff regular season game.

Our defense will do fine, just need the offense to do more of its part. No more slow starts, need to get get out fast like we did against YSU and Southern Illinois.

X factor is our home crowd, we need to be loud and get them to have false starts. Louder the fans, more effective of a pass rush we can have.

UND hasn’t really put out any additional effort to promote this game on social media, etc. It should be blasted everywhere.

You actually thought they would ?

the student section shows all taken, see how many actually show up

I hope Fruechte has his 3 plays dialed in this week.  I ran more (different) plays with my FM athletics team this fall, 5th/6th graders.

1st - jet sweep (2 yards)
2nd - over LG  (2 yards)
3rd - 6 yard slant
Lather, rinse, repeat

That was the Murray State MO.

Say UND loses this game in a last second barn burner thanks to Mason playing, which turns them into a different team....would UND actually get shafted from a playoff spot?! Seeing their ranking, and their losses, I just totally assumed they were in no matter what at this point. But then again the committee tends to torch UND any chance they get.

It's really 50/50 and depends what happens in other games but I could see UND still making it

Losing to 4 playoff teams and an FBS team all by one score? (It will be 3 but for discussion sake...)
Leaving no doubt in your 7 wins, including doing the best job of any team outside of Michigan St in neutralizing the front runner for the Payton Award.
Glad UND has someone in the room to make the case on why some other teams might not have as good of a resume.

Preference is to just end the Bunnies season. As mentioned, Mason is an athlete playing QB. I can't believe that he was close to coming back in any of the last few games and didn't suit up because their season has been headed off the rails. If he's playing tomorrow, he's not going to be near 100% and his legs are his biggest weapons. Even if he is close, UND has done an impressive job in forcing mobile QB's to try and beat them with their arms.

It wouldn’t be a shafting.  Or a torching. Don’t care how tough the schedule is. You actually need to win the games at some point, which I think UND will do on Saturday.

In the past we have gotten shafted, but ya if we lose Saturday and don't make it in......won't be getting shafted this time. If we lose its 50/50 at best that we get in.

Previously I would have been nervous as hell playing a talented mobile QB in a must win game. Don't want to jinx us, but we've done an amazing job against some really good dual threat QB's this year.

Alerus Center magic....let's go!!
