His dad was among the last that really knew how to utilize the hip check. Does anyone remember a Sioux player after him that was better at it?

In his original tweet, he spelled Gophers incorrectly and called it Minnesota University.   
I take it he's from out of state.

1. I'm sure someone made it for him (not him) because the note with it says "University of Minnesota". 
2. Willing to bet it's not a prank. A spelling error is believable; and to folks from out east (he's from NY) it's all "StateName-U" out here. See: OU, NU, CU, ... MU. When I lived out east I went to "NDU" ... nails on a chalk board ever time. 

Bottom line: He sent it; it's on him.

He'll get some good playing time with all the forward talent that they lost this summer.
They've picked up some nice guys out of the portal, but they sure lost a good chunk of their offense.

Meanwhile, UMN fans will have to break out that eraser for all of them that were writing Bump into their lineup already.
Hopefully they used a pencil.
