A few more with UND ties on that list too:

Quote

USA Hockey's National Team Development Program has announced its evaluation camp roster.

There are several players with local ties.

There's one North Dakotan in forward Colin Grubb of Burlington, N.D. Grubb plays at Shattuck-St. Mary's.
There's one Minnesota Section 8 player in Beck Thoreson of Moorhead. Thoreson is the nephew of former UND captain Andy Schneider.
There are also two sons of former UND baseball players — Brayden Willis and Colton Lien.

Brayden's father, B.J., played UND baseball from 2000-03. His uncle, Brad, played from 2001-05. Willis is from Gilbert, Ariz.
Colton's father, Chris, played UND baseball from 1997-00. Lien is from Highlands Ranch, Colo.

Look at the birthdates - 24/46 (52%) are Jan-April, lesser of dates after. That early birth day bias is real across all sports.

so, if we want to increase probability of future athletic advancement, plan for the act to 9 months before the age date cutoff of your chosen sport, and hopefully you are partnered with a genetic specimen.

The book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell is a great read, as is the concept of bio-banding in youth sports.

BUT the truth remains......If you want to be a hockey parent, or deer hunter for that matter, AVOID THE TEMPTATIONS OF VALENTINES DAY AT ALL COSTS!

PuckPreps sure knows a lot of the good player but some of their rankings are way off. Joey is very very good though. He went from 121 to 1….period over period. That should tell you how tapped in this puckprep person is.

The online scouting services are businesses not employed by hockey teams, so they are looking for clicks, likes, and for subscriptions from parents of kids they are evaluating.  They like highlights and players that post a ton online, because they hashtag and get more clicks.  As a result they get some right and they miss plenty.  Every kid on their list is a good player.  Joey probably has the best hands in the class and he's very creative and a clutch player.  Will LaSouro is a born athlete and a great player.  He definitely belongs up towards the top of any list.   Same with Drew Daley, lanky defender who operates like a 2nd center often times in the ozone with the awareness to always get back to defend.  Jack Hair is an amazing skater with good IQ and is up at the top of any offensive Dman discussions.  Matty Lynn is a powerful center with an elite shot, great goal scorer.  Aiden Kelly is sweet and nasty...an elite goal scoring dangler with a lot of FU in his jam.  I could go on and on about guys on this list and guys off this list.  Bottom line is they are all very good hockey players with bright futures ahead of them.

I guess when your vocabulary is limited, you want to stick with the simple words to spell.
