SDSU? ISU red? Both were highly ranked unless they no longer look that good?

SDSU without their starting QB yes fall into that category and Illinois State is not very good.  The FCS rankings are pointless as the majority of those teams are garbage.   When you have Tarleton State number 3 enough saud.

Even with qb1, would the Jacks been able to win that game?  Hate to say it, but I think we’ll need something special to beat NDSU.  Maybe that something special is the magic of the Alerus Center.

How many starters did the Jacks lose via transfers?  Anyone?  That wasn't a #2 ranked team.  Embarrassing for the Jacks.

Exactly and how is Montana State still a top 5 team after losing all world Tommy Mellot?  These rankings are a joke.

Its a Voodoo black magic, and its more real then I've ever seen at the Alerus.

IMO this game really didn't prove anything as SDSU was without their QB and top running back - yes injuries are a part of a season, just saying. Now would Moo U have won anyway perhaps since they pretty much shredded the SDSU defense anyway. Really think we have a great change to win at least 3/4 if not a little Alerus magic and win out. However winning at USD is next up, gotta go 1-0 first.

From Jacks Illustrated (15 transfers to WSU and 15 recruits flipped to WSU)  The NDSU game makes more sense now.  And take nothing away from NDSU, they looked really good and their QB play was fantastic.  33-game home win streak snapped and worst loss since 1992 I believe is said during the game.

It's actually pretty impressive that they are as good as they are with all they lost.  Obviously hit the portal hard.

They will beat Indiana St without their starting QB, but will struggle with Illinois St, USD and us.  Could be 3 loses to finish season if they don't get him back soon.

They could really mess up the playoffs if they get their qb back after losing a bunch of games with him out.

I skimmed the SDSU message board after Saturday's game, and they don't seem to think their o-line is very good this year. If true, regardless of who the QB is I'm not sure they're going to make much noise in the playoffs. The defense obviously also has some issues, even throwing out the NDSU game, judging by how many yards Murray St. gained two weeks ago. My guess is that they were a lot better early in the season (see Montana St. game as exhibit A), but once the inevitable injuries started piling up, they just didn't have the depth to withstand it, which is completely understandable under the circumstances.

I know some of the SDSU media have been talking about how mediocre SDSU offense has been all season. Often starting slow, and bailed out time and time again by their defense giving the Off time the ability to survive multiple bad drives before finally being able to put some together and pull away late in games.
