I'm entirely OK with him being gone, buy he was a good coach. HIs record in NCHC shows that. Ironic that he won the big one right away, leading many of us to think he had "it" for tournament play. Turned out to be his downfall. Quote

BusinessSoot Posted Tuesday at 11:23 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:23 PM If this is in fact the case of the new HC, it is what was asked for by a lot of folks, and probably needed. And by all accounts alumni giving a lot of support for the rumored new HC. Regardless, time to rally the troops and give full support. A breath of fresh air from a new HC, whether you agree or not, is about to enter the Ralph. 1 Quote

ChrisUND1 Posted Tuesday at 11:30 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:30 PM Have we seen a Berry statement since he was fired? You’d think Schloss or someone would say least say that they reached out for comment, but no reply. Apologies if I missed this. Quote

When you have ex teammates and players of his talking about changes needing to be made, it shouldn’t be shocking. Maybe he would have expected a heads up, but he had to have felt pressure going into this past year. He also was expecting the season to last longer, even though the rest of us saw which way the wind was blowing. The fact that the locker room was a side show like it was in a few years back, and that falls on the coach. 1 Quote
zonadub Posted Tuesday at 11:35 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:35 PM Is this (Jackson) like when the ob-gyn told us the baby would be another boy when he knew we wanted a girl? Then our daughter was born (Raboin)? Or is it like when we got excited that DeBoer was a finalist and then Schweigert was hired? Quote

GFNodakUSA Posted Tuesday at 11:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:43 PM Better get this hire right. The future conference schedule is about to get a lot harder. Super conference with college hockey blue bloods will be here soon. 1 Quote

If you are going to promote from within, you announce it soon after relieving the previous coach of his duties. You don't put on this dog and pony show and then tell everyone "Just kidding, we're promoting from within." No way. You don't open a job hoping you get your target. You know on the front end. Quote

If they wanted Jackson, they didn't need to open it up at all. They could have done what they did when Hakstol replaced Blais and when Berry replaced Hakstol. That's why I'm not convinced they are picking Jackson. 1 Quote
