Couldn’t tell if it was chaves or not with how baggy the clothes was but someone I can confirm was picked up from the airport

We have to go big time, whatever you think about BB and his accomplishments, you can’t justify firing him on his record. It was the  right thing to do and needed to happen . 90% of college teams would be very happy with his team’s accomplishments. It would be idiotic not to attempt to hire a young upcoming genius or  lure in a veteran coach with absolute proven experience! The new guy should also start with a complete new staff, make every staff position important and pick only the best . Names I’ve heard that excite me; Raboin, chyzik and Fershweiler each would be tremendous in some capacity.

Firing Berry based on performance and then hiring his top assistant is completely nonsensical. We're officially at the Fruechte is the frontrunner portion of the process.

Let's be clear this will be done by end of week and there is no head coach of a team currently in the tournament who should even be under consideration.

Rumor comes from someone who would absolutely know what is going on - we literally have anonymous avatars and names on this site - so I'm not going to "out" anyone. But I can tell you this person absolutely has close ties with the staff and would absolutely have some pulse on it. I'm not saying it WILL happen and I definitely would not be happy about it (this would be the most backwards move they could make IMHO). But just sharing what I have heard.

Well, Barr probably isn't the guy since his team is in the tourney this week & the announcement will likely be Thursday. That wouldn't be very inspiring for his players.

James Patrick is the interesting name Schloss listed. UND alum, NHL guy, Dub coaching experience, current Victoria Royals head coach.

Patrick could get a ton of high end guys from all of Western Canada, problem is he’s 61 and likely doesn’t want to leave junior. Also doesn’t match the job requirements as he doesn’t have NCAA coaching experience.

Gino was hired to replace Bjorkman and had been on Rube's staff.

It was obvious from the start that Gino's idea of how to run a program was much different from Bjorkman's.

It is entirely possible that Dane Jackson has a much different philosophy than Brad Berry did.

That is the ONLY way hiring Jackson would make any sense at all.
