Wilbur Posted yesterday at 03:22 PM Posted yesterday at 03:22 PM Our first round playoff location comes down to this weekend, possibly Saturday night. According to noted NCHC standings expert @brianvf, we need at least 5 points against the red cows or they finish ahead of us in the league and a likely trip for us to beautiful Magness arena for our season to come to an end. I'm still wondering how the group got two points at Lawson with the whole 4 shots in 30 minutes of hockey BS. They did however, and our friends from Stearns county hot goalied the Pios and we sit tied with them. Would've been better for our on again off again team had Denver won that game and then swept CC to finish in 3rd place and we take our chances with the Mavs in a best of five series. All I know about the red cows is they've got a great backwards goalie in Latkoczy. They are dead in the pairwise water like another local team I know, but could finish top three in the league. Survey says, lose Friday, win Saturday. Plane ride to Denver Thursday. Or do we go Wednesday? Quote
Oxbow6 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Go Wednesday if the attitudinal and anti gravity beds can get shipped there by then. Will leave my sticks in PHX in case any one of the boys needs them the weekend of the X. 1 Quote

cowboys5xsbs Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago It's wild that this is our first series against Omaha. I have no idea how to rate Omaha they sit at 27th in the pairwise so we should win these games if we come out and play our best hockey. Quote

tnt Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago After losing 4 of 5 to Omaha last year, and totally ruining our season with the 3 losses in the last few weeks of the season, Berry better be able to flip the script at home, otherwise where are we at as a program. Rather than being a higher seed in Sioux Falls we have to play Michigan in Missouri and again our one and done outcome. Of course why would we want to take advantage of a regional closer to home. Omaha is another program that has lost tons of players in the last few years, so if Berry can’t get it done now, when can he? Think about it, we took Omaha’s best player, yet if UND doesn’t do something the rest of this season, Cam Berg could very well had a better chance at getting closer to a National title had he stayed at Omaha. Think about that prospect! Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The thought of not making it to St. Paul or Fargo should be the end of the Berry swoon. #culture #attheendoftheday 2 Quote

tnt Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I will also add that Omaha’s top four scorers are all Portal Transfers, and all four have more points than our 1 portal forward this year in Carter Wilkie. Hmmm! While I do think Wilkie adds a two way component, we did need to replace the scoring of Blake, and you didn’t get enough of that from Wilkie and the upperclassmen. Swanson hasn’t had the impact a lot we’re expecting, but you can’t count on all your freshmen to transition perfectly. He will be great going forward. Quote

Think about that prospect! UNO really stuck it to us at the end of last year. It was not a good feeling going in to the NCAA's. This year, I don't have a lot of confidence that we can take the 4 or 5 points needed to finish ahead of them but hopefully I'm proven wrong. (happens a lot ) Quote

Swanson did about what I thought he would do being an undersized freshman with playmaking abilities. He's 4th on the team in assists. He'll be a fantastic 4 year player. Quote
