Wilbur Posted Sunday at 04:06 PM Posted Sunday at 04:06 PM Duluth heads west on highway 2 for a matchup with UND. Three weekends left in NCHC play and UND some how is in 4th place in the league by a point over Denver and 2 points over CC, who got the gift of Miami at home. Denver heads to Oxford this weekend, I'll assume they end up with 6 points in that one. Duluth is pretty locked into 7th place after they took four points from ASU at Amsoil after two OT games. The Plante brothers are healthy, and the guy that was supposed to be the backup, Knapp, has put together some performances and has taken over the net. Max Plante is 4th on their team in scoring, even after missing 13 games. For UND hopefully you get Sacha or Perron back, but if not the kids that played Saturday did fine in place of other guys that didn't suit up. Gotta sweep as Denver has their next four with #9 and #8 before we head to Lawson, where the Penrose could be in the building. I'll say a split. We win Friday. Quote

siouxweet Posted Sunday at 08:52 PM Posted Sunday at 08:52 PM Just to emphasize how important a sweep is, should UND sweep in regulation it only would move them up 1 spot to 18th. Didn't even factor a non sweep as it would be catastrophic. Quote

MoSiouxFan Posted Monday at 05:13 AM Posted Monday at 05:13 AM Got to sweep our 4 remaining home games and somehow get a split at Western to even have a chance at an at-large bid. Pretty tall order, but not impossible. 1 Quote
brianvf Posted Monday at 06:20 PM Posted Monday at 06:20 PM Quote The status of Boisvert, Perron, Kunz and Montgomery — who account for more than 30 percent of the team's goals this season — is unknown. UND coach Brad Berry said Saturday the players will be evaluated this week ahead of the series against the Bulldogs. "For Sacha not to play (Saturday), it's a pretty big deal," Berry said after the DU series. "At the end of the day, it shouldn't be anything significant, but we want to, obviously, take precautions with a guy like Sacha." 1 Quote

iluvdebbies Posted Monday at 06:56 PM Posted Monday at 06:56 PM Luckily 20 percent of the roster has a letter. #justlike2016 Quote

This is very very true. Even though Emery has been up and down, we could really use a shutdown defenseman against Duluth's rising offence, so his Friday suspension may hit us hard. 1 Quote

ND_Texan Posted Tuesday at 02:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:39 PM Duluth is a very well coached team but with far less talent than UND. We'll see which matters more this weekend. I'm nervous. Quote
