brianvf Posted Saturday at 06:04 AM Author Posted Saturday at 06:04 AM https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-coughs-up-two-goal-lead-in-tie-at-st-cloud-state Jammer didn't even travel to SCSU...wonder what's happening there. Quote UND played the game without captain Louis Jamernik V, who did not travel to St. Cloud State. "Unavailable," Berry said. Quote The negative for UND: It has a long way to climb in the Pairwise Rankings to get to the NCAA Fargo Regional and ties won't get them there. The Fighting Hawks are No. 27 and time is running out to jump into the top 14 or 15. The other harsh reality is that UND would be No. 15 in the Pairwise Rankings had it held onto those four third-period leads. Quote

Has to be injury related. Even if Brad tries to prove a point by scratching him, he wouldn't leave him at home as a Senior Captain. Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted Saturday at 06:42 AM Posted Saturday at 06:42 AM A little over a decade ago, we had Senior transfer Clarke Saunders and young Zane. They split for a while, then Saunders let in the absolute weakest goal I've ever seen on his way to getting routed at home against Omaha, never seeing the ice again after that game (but didnt get pulled despite letting in 8 I think). Hak was willing to bury the guy with experience for the young guy who later stole us the regional against Ferris State. Berry needs to do the same. 3 Quote

Popular Post AJS Posted Saturday at 12:25 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 12:25 PM We’re clearly at the point now with Berry where we were with Bubba. For the program to take the next step (Football) or get back to one of the elite programs again (hockey), it needs new leadership. Ideally, the results the result of the year make this Berry & the entire coaching staffs last year. At the very least, no extension. Schmidt hire will completely turn things around for football. It’s so eye opening what competent leadership looks like when you aren’t used to it. It’ll be that way for hockey too. 1 5 Quote

ChrisUND1 Posted Saturday at 01:13 PM Posted Saturday at 01:13 PM Here’s the correct headline: UND gives up two goal lead in third at SCSU, falls to 27th in Pairwise. Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted Saturday at 01:39 PM Posted Saturday at 01:39 PM So Berry says Jammer is unavailable ,wtf is that? Is he injured , called out the coach or what makes you “unavailable” Quote

Blackheart Posted Saturday at 02:34 PM Posted Saturday at 02:34 PM Unfortunately this game really sums up the season. Play well for stretches and take a lead, then let off the gas and give it up. UND does not leave a lot of room for error and last night was a perfect example. The second goal was partially due to a bad turnover by one of our best players but I'm not sure what TJ was doing on that save attempt. It's like he tried to stand up as the puck was going under him? The third goal was a nice tip by the Clowns to complete the comeback. Ticket sales at the X for the league playoffs will be record breaking; and not in a good way. 3 Quote
Wilbur Posted Saturday at 03:04 PM Posted Saturday at 03:04 PM Hobie should be in the net, but none of the goals were on TJ last night. First goal was a 2-1 on a bad play on the blue line. 2nd one Sacha with a terrible turnover and hes trying to make himself big (goalie world term) because that guy had all the time and space in the world. I wouldn't have tried that, but Sacha can't be the last man and turn it over. Third goal our fearless leader puts the 3rd line out and we lose a guy at net front and he made an outstanding tip. Again, Hobie should still be in the net. Ride it out with him. On another front, can anyone associated with the GOBC tell me what's going on with #27? 1 Quote
1972 Posted Saturday at 03:09 PM Posted Saturday at 03:09 PM Oof the apology tour is in full affect on Facebook today.....we are still a great team, is the line that almost made me spit out my coffee... Quote

Oxbow6 Posted Saturday at 03:23 PM Posted Saturday at 03:23 PM When you have the game by the nuts your goalie occasionally needs to make a save to cover the sins of other especially when the opposing team has basically done nothing offensively. Goal one and two last night are cases in point. Nevermind that every goalie this team faces makes saves on breakaways. 3 Quote
