Did Belquist go to Fargo for their pro day??

Both Fargo and GF.  For more exposure.  Catch some passes from Cam Miller.  Probably mire scouts there.

So did we do NDSU a favor by sending down someone to catch Miller's throws, or did they do us a favor by letting Belquist  strut his stuff?

Offense is execution and performance -- "What we run you can't stop."

Defense is attitude and swagger -- "Your 'stuff' don't work against us."

We haven't had attitude and earned swagger on D for a while.

29 scouts in Fargo.  Only 10 traveled north.  No brainer for Bo

For good reason. Haven’t had enough top end talent on D to have attitude and earn swagger.  Those don’t mean much if can’t back it up.

to me it is all about Bo and getting as much exposure as possible.  I really hope Bo gets a good shot at the next level.

So are there any numbers from pro day?  Bo's 40 time?

He said he didn’t crack in the 4.5s which means at best a 4.6. For reference Cooper  Kupp ran a 4.62. But Kupp is also bigger and a much better player.

Probably UDFA. rookie camp invite at the least.

For sure. Bo can ball but he’s just not that fast. He is dynamic and explosive though. Quick and can really jump. He’ll get a shot and I hope he can make it happen.

Totally agree. However our defense played with passion and swagger against a very good NDSU team in GF in 2023 and mostly looked soft and pretty much like crap ever since then,  with pretty much the same guys.

With a totally new scheme and needing to get the right guys on the roster next year will be a work in process on D. However a tough minded coach like Schmidt with high expectations will help offset some of that and I expect us to be better on defense than we were. I'm sure there will be some missed assignments and head scratching moments next year. But I'm expecting us to not make the other teams QB look like Tebow 2.0, like in that one game, and just get completely embarrassed.  We played quite well against Iowa State last year, then would get embarrassed on the road against barely .500 FCS teams.

Looking forward to listening to the new podcast this weekend!

Very good info on the podcast.  Happy to hear the players remarks on nutrition, and strength training.  The team will be hungry and player led.

Thanks for pointing out the 19 idiots. Ag school buffalo swag is still going strong in Fargo I see - it’s hilarious.

Great listen. I’m really excited about the offense next year. Going to take a lot of work to turn this defense around, and Kelly seems to think it will take some time.

Haven’t listened yet. Defensively, take time to (1) See improvement (2) Become Average FCS (3) Championship caliber

I’ve said it the last two off-seasons. The thought has been, it can’t possibly be worse than the year prior. Each year, it’s either worse or equally as bad.

My hope is new system, coaches & attitude can get the defense to slightly below or average. That would be a huge improvement.

Only 19 could get a flight out - the 10 had to stay over.  You coming down for the home opener and see us raise the new NC flag?

Probably the last one for awhile so I’ll have to think about it …

Pretty damn optimistic about 2025 season and 2026.

Two huge commits for 2026 season.

UNDFootball360 podcast.  Discusses nutrition strength training.  The coaching is above our past staff and should be on par or better than other MVFC.

Facilities and pouring into these young athletes keeping accountable by their peers and staying humble and hungry.

In that the MVFC has its share of Haves and Have Nots, it could not be difficult to flip last year and get back into the playoffs. Even with the challenges of the defense several of the games were winnable. Very predictable that bandwagon fans will be back quickly.

Agree.  Defense will not be amazing like we want.  But I believe 3rd and long with be in favor of our defense again.  More QB pressure and mire interceptions.  TOs with be huge for this team.

Podcast got me excited too. Sounds like some guys have already put on some good weight and the staff is weighing players every day. The facilities were crucial in getting some of these transfers in I think and will be very important when recruiting spring portal players at DL, LB, etc. Very excited to so the kind of guys this staff can get to transfer in at those positions. I think they’ll find some game changers!
