Raboin will get a call, might not be interested though.

If they clean house, Zombo as an assistant?

Execution is important too, can't lose Zellers or Boisvert.

Raboin is my guy. Make it an offer he can’t refuse. Imagine not being interested in leaving a startup program to come to UND. Maybe that’s where we are at though.

In CFB, that would be like the HC at Vanderbilt turning down a shot at, say, Georgia or Alabama. If Raboin wants to climb the hockey pyramid & advance his talents to the highest level possible,  UND affords him that opportunity way more than Augustana does. More resources, more visibility, more everything. Raboin is 20 yrs younger than Berry, has good connections w/ the national program, is an excellent recruiter, & I imagine the team would be playing a much more consistent game under his leadership.

It's abundantly clear that this program isn't going anywhere meaningful with the current coaching staff. Only question this off-season is will the UND AD have the testicular fortitude & foresight to pull the plug on BB & go a new direction.

This isn’t good.

UND Hockey is behind when it comes to NIL plain and simple. They either need to beef up the collective or start recruiting like Hastings does and get some of the after thoughts/late bloomers. Gone are the days where kids will come here just for the facilities and "tradition". Part of the problem is just sheer numbers when it comes to the collective. UND has 110,000 living alumni, most BIG schools are graduating 40k/year. I do think it is time for a change, but I also think Brad and his staff are doing the best they can under the circumstances.

I hear ya but Berry still gets top recruits at least in terms of the number of NHL draft picks simply cus if the program history but it ain’t translating to play on the ice.  That’s a coaching/development  issue unless the scouts are wrong.

We are overthinking this.

Berry just isn't head coach material.

That's the problem.

That's why a change needs to be made.

Amen.

Maybe just sell it as an opportunity for Berry to have time to watch his son’s college career.

BB has about 450,000 reasons to not simply walk away after this year. He's close to retirement age & he's not going to leave all that money on the table. Only way he's leaving is either a pay-out or if the local Norwegian mafia slips some lutefisk in his food.

And there were 750,000 reasons why Bubba wasn't going anywhere.

Letting our signature athletic program decay into nothing because we aren't willing to buy out the final year of his contract is simply unacceptable.

Enough of the Grade A certified bull$h!t around here. I'm tired of all the excuses and alibis offered as to why we can't do anything about the current sorry state of our athletic programs.

I have had it.

What about leaving for an “admin position”. Worked for FB.

Better to just pay him out & be done with him, than creating a position that isn't needed in the first place & will only be a waste of money after his contract has expired. Unless perhaps a GM kind of position, but that's not really needed as there are already plenty of ancillary hockey staff that get the job done.

Maybe the Ralph has a position open for event coordinator

We’re going to need both key donors as well as Chaves to step up and do it quickly. March 30th is when the transfer window opens.

The fear I have now, that I never had before is key players transferring to other schools. Once that happens, Berry’s destruction of this program will be complete. It’s already no longer an elite program, but we’re on the verge of it falling off a cliff.

One more time, different era of collegiate athletics. You need not only dynamic recruiters, but someone that really embraces NIL. Berry and this coaching staff doesn’t check any boxes of what you need to run a successful program in 2025.

The fear is real about losing current players or recruits but you can’t keep letting Berry burn the dumpster, especially at home.

Yes, but also the fear now is they will leave because of Berry and this coaching staff. If Berry stays, I believe we’ll see key players leave.
