What platitudes will we get from Coach and Captain today? It would be refreshing to hear “that was embarrassing and we need to be better”

What's the over/under on how many times B-Rad uses the phrase "At the end of the day..."?

IMPROVEMENT!

Come on, people!  The last time we took a one goal lead into the final period, Michigan scored 3 unanswered in the first 12 minutes. Tonight, it took Cornell an entire 19 minutes AND an empty net to pot their 3 unanswered goal.

We’re definitely on the right track!

Berry:

-We battled so hard.

-First shift always...whoops the third period.

-Effort was there.

-Blaming reffs....gotta keep going.

-Play the right way, can't turn it over.

-Didn't play well that 4th goal, puckwatching.

-Monty did well on D.

-Found a way to lose.

-These games will help us.

He reiterated that the effort was there. His words not mine.

Maybe the effort but where is the focus?  The ability to stickhandle and make plays?

Not to be too doomy gloomy this early in the season, but this season could be over before it gets a chance to start if they don't get things going.

That 4th goal can't happen in college hockey.  We have a goalie problem.....

That 4th goal came about because of a weird bounce off the seam in the corner boards

It bounced straight out to the Cornell players when it should have bounced at a normal angle where our d-man had skated.

There are no more resources we can possibly give Berry and his players that I'm aware of.  They have everything.

Relax….they just need to learn how to play together and we are a 2nd half team

Zero credit to Cornell?  Typical.

And next weekend, we can look forward to a triple header losing trifecta with SDSU coming here for FB and Denver coming here for hockey. Meanwhile, the "My Oh My" show is ramping up at NDSU again. If this isn't rock bottom for UND athletics, it's pretty close.

We travel to UMD next weekend...DU is the following weekend.

One, UND was a second half team under Hakstol and he hasn't been the coach in ten years.  Two, Cornell somehow managed to sweep us with their first two games of the year....you'd think we'd have a huge advantage of "playing together" versus them at this point in the season.

The season isn't over, but the sooner they figure it out the better.

Opps, you are correct. My damn kidney stone surgery yesterday has sucked some of my brain power.

Post has been edited.

No worries man, hope your recovery goes ok.
I've been there...dealt with kidney stones three times in my life so far.  One of those things you wouldn't wish upon anyone.
Take care!
