Does posting on a fan forum do anything for the team one claims to be a fan of? Only those on the outside looking in get off on it.  College athletes still do dumb stuff and aren’t always the most mature. Unsubstantiated rumors and the subsequent spreading of rumors isn’t  going to change the lives of us keyboard warriors, but it doesn’t help the team and in some cases may damage reputations or relationships.  
Players, parents, recruits, shouldn’t ever read fan forums but they do. These rumors “become facts” that resurface in numerous places including recruiting. 
If you all don’t believe that then I doubt you’ve ever been on the “inside”.  
Nick Saban stated a similar opinion recently, but what would he know?

I’m not worried about your sources but I am wondering which guys are likely to transfer? If you’re willing to put an over/under on things then you must know who the likely suspects are?

I have no problem with portal transfers. It’s really no different than short term free agent signings in the NFL.  And with unfettered “free agency” and no “salary cap” any in college sports, ya gotta roll with the times.

27 has had off ice issues with becoming “friendly” with others, whom he should not have been friendly with, since he arrived on campus.

Not for the same reasons but can we all go back two seasons (last time they missed the NCAA tournament) and the decision to bring Senden / Hain back for their 5th year and the dominos that caused which according to some wasn't well received by all in the locker room. It's so disappointing how bad Berry is at this.

With three weeks remaining in the regular season, it's going to be an uphill climb for UND to earn home ice for the first round of the NCHC playoffs. Thankfully, they still host one of the teams chasing them (Duluth) and one of the teams right in front of them (Omaha). Here are the current predictions:

Yeah, I didn't see Denver turning down Pohlkamp.  Most people on this site were twisting in the wind hoping we would get Pohlkamp.  Maybe we should go back and look at those who were part of that crowd that are now saying we shouldn't use the portal.

I was thinking it would be nice to branch out and find another group of fans to get my fix for Fighting Sioux Hockey info.  Which Facebook group should I try to join and why won't they take me?

Are there any other good sites out there for Sioux hockey discussion? This place has gone so downhill I'm embarrassed about the lurking time I spend here. I still come hoping to get actual info or good discourse, but that is not what I'm finding. Let me know if you find anything good!

I really don't think Mclaughlin goes because he'll get top 6 minutes for sure and Andrew will probably stay because he could get consistent 4th line minutes if he can stay out of the box. Hobie has every right to go and I wouldn't blame him one bit because he hasn't been given the same leash that the older, yet inferior, goalie has gotten. Hard to say on Komzak but I actually see him sticking around and being ok with the extra guy role. 

 

My guesses are Boisvert transfers and James signs. I'd be very surprised if Boisvert isn't playing out east or at Michigan state.

Although, with our D corps being notably more experienced next year after being in the trenches this year, our team could be good if everyone sticks around and we get a couple of solid forwards from the CHL. Idk if anyone has inside info regarding Zmolek but something tells me he hangs up the skates after having multiple surgeries in such a short period of time. 

All of this is 100% speculation and is not based in truth or sources so take it all with a grain of salt.

I'm all for hearing the argument Hobie should've been given a few more opportunities this year but how calling TJ the inferior goalie is flat out wrong by almost every measure(Wins, SV%, GAA).  Did you watch the Denver series?

Stoney posted that he's heard good updates on Zmolek making a return...that would be massive for the top 6 dmen group.
There's been rumblings about Perron transferring too.
I'd love if James returns, but could see him getting pressure to sign as a 2nd round pick entering his SR season.
Agreed on Hobie.  I could see him staying if he's told that he'll get #1 goalie spot to start season...but could see him hitting portal if we bring in another portal goalie.
I go back and forth on Boisvert.  I'd guess there would be a good chance he'd sign after his SO season anyway, so could see him sticking around, otherwise he'd potentially be moving around to 3 spots in 3 years.  If he portals out, that'd be a bad look for UND and hopefully would cause the coaching staff to take a long look in the mirror.

They have had many opportunities to look in the mirror over the past 8 seasons and have yet to do so - for example another portal goalie next year.  What is Karl doing and why isn't he getting a great freshman goalie and developing him?  Our roster management is a hot mess.
