This team makes way too many mistakes and has too inconsistent goaltending to have any realistic chance to win a NC$$ championship. The runway to fix these problems is growing shorter and shorter. They need to make significant improvements in these areas and I frankly have no faith in this coaching staff to get it done. They can look like world beaters one game and the most inept mistake prone team in another.

I am honestly starting to lose faith in this coaching staff too. Very disappointing weekend.

Berry is proud of the team and thinks they were good enough to win and the team skated hard.  Come on, talk about the lowest of low standards.

Reminded me of a trip to Maine early in a Hak season when they just got annihilated both nights.  The upside then was there was still most of a season to get better.  This time around, I guess the next month will tell us whether this was an aberration or a sign of things to come.  Very strange set of games.  If UND rights the ship, I wonder if these two might meet again in SD.

Berry Postgame:

-Their goalie won them the game.  Hats off.

-Effort was better.

-#Full60

-Proud of the way we battled, needed more saves.

-Earn your breaks.

-When we won the natty we got smoked in Denver.

-NCHC race is tight.

Thanks for the summary

If UND drops to a two seed and CC is either a two or three seed, at least we’d avoid playing them in the regional round

UMN scored 10 goals against CC in a two game series in January.
UND scored 7 goals against CC in a four game season series.

So frustrating.  UND just can't beat this CC team this year.
CC is still certainly a bubble team for the NCAA's (got a nice jolt this weekend, for sure), but if they make the NCAA's I want nothing to do with them.
They have UND's number this year, and it's not even close.

I would think any team who relies on scoring goals on the rush would want nothing to do with them.

If they do meet again there is no way ion hell LP should start in net!

He also said that UND could have been up 4-0.  No credit given to CC other than their goalie playing well, which isn’t a fluke by the way. He is the best goalie in NCHC and one of the best in the nation.

We have about as weak of an AD as you can have. UND will not part ways with him even if things get worse.

Why do you say that (your second sentence?  I don’t necessarily disagree maybe but curious what’s the basis for it in your opinion.

One can only hope to repeat the path from this season after getting swept in the state of Colorado.   Need to do some soul searching and get back to the type of game they displayed against Denver three weeks ago.  That seems like ages ago, but maybe they became full of themselves.

I don't think Austin Poganski has any eligibility left to help out when one of next weeks games goes to OT.

Not a great weekend.

I’ve always been a CC fan but I bleed green through and through. This weekend fricking stings. I’m royally frustrated and pissed off.

This team is good but not even close to great.  Evident by the number of OT games it has played this season.  If you THINK you are one of the top programs in the country no way in hell you get pushed to OT as often as they have been.   There was a narrative going that they had a 19 game unbeaten streak.  No way as they actually lost some of those ganes in OT not just a shootout.  At this point they are slightly above average.

I can't believe all the empty seats.  First time ranked in how many years and they can't even get butts in the seats?
That said, their chant is accurate.

Because tickets were over $100 resale, they thought UND fans would still buy them. Well they didn’t ……

My buddy delighted in the fact he sold his three seats for last night’s game for $110 a piece and that whoever paid that much got to see UND get killed. He assumes it had to have been UND fans who bought those tickets. Can’t say for certain but likely it was some UND fans who purchased them. Doubt any CC fan would pay that much.

The unsettling thing that I hope sticks in these kids heads is when all of the CC fans chanted “OVERRATED”!!!!

Truth be told, Mbereko was outstanding and our team looked like a bunch of high schoolers. Out of position, making blind passes. No guidance. Berry is an empty suit this weekend.

I guess they are going to use some of the football ticket revenue and build an altitude room at Colorado Springs altitude

Maybe they will let the football team borrow it since they paid for it after all
