You can't see it in any screen grabs, but the dad in the second row with the UNO jersey is double birding with his newborn next to him and a young boy (hopefully not his son) looking on. If you're in the student section, no big deal, but have some class in front of kids, people. Hain throwing punches at the glass was a good response to Omaha's finest.

What a bunch of morons. Did they realize they were on regional cable television?

Run it. It's not a powerful as one would guess.

The one win I was referring to is the NCHC Championship game.

That game has a slightly different "weighting" factor.

But there's much for the lads to do before fretting about that.

Thank the lord not a single UND fan has ever been photographed giving the bird to an opposing player before!

... or the coach to an official.

But ya-gatta admit a triple-double is a solid performance.

Ever since the famous one in the Michigan game I think the lesson was learned. Again, student section is almost to be expected, but be aware of who is sitting around you.

They are used to their normal broadcast quality and reach.

I have to wonder who was running the main camera this weekend. Constantly over-zoomed and chasing, or losing, the puck.

If it's a noob camera op, learn from the weak performance and attend a couple more hockey games to understand the flow.
If it's a vet, tighten up the gimbal on that camera.

PS - Nobody needs a cutaway during play to see the official's arm is up when the puck is still in play.

Were there any cuts to the person exiting the penalty box? That's the Omaha tradition

Not that stand out, but the main camera was "lost" an inordinate amount of the time. It's like it was either (a) someone's first hockey game*, or (b) the view from that camera nest is terrible and the op loses track of the puck.

*They'd get lost on PK dumps and still be looking O-zone for a puck behind the other net.

UND fan giving the bird to a Wolverine player who scored to beat us in the 2011 Frozen Four.

Let’s face it, there was a lot of emotion in this game. You could tell by Gabinet’s presser. The team lost a friend and coach this year, the fans saw the team rise from a poor start. We’ve been there. That must have been a soul crushing turn of events. Correct however, not with kids present, a bad move period…

Hain was already punching the glass and celebrating facing the UNO fans. They did the birdie in response and then Hain did more punching. Gotta love sports.

So maybe not as bad as was thought. Still, not with kids but what else could he do, stick his tongue out?
